Excellent cider press
Great press. Bought it for making apple cider. I would reccomend using it with a filter bag. We used an 18 liter filter bag and it worked pretty well. I think that a far amount of pulp would have come through without the bag. It came mounted to a piece of plywood. I thought I was going to have to mount it to something, so this was a pleasant surprise. It is very sturdy and you can put a lot of pressure on it. We did not use any blocks with it and I thought that it still delivered plenty of pressure. The platform can be tipped forward by releasing the two hand turn screws in front. This was very useful for cleaning out the spent pulp. So far we have used it for two pressings in which we made ~4.5 gallons of cider in each pressing. Cleanup was real easy. Just hosed it off and let it dry. One thing that I did notice was that some of the reviews I read of other presses talked about metal shavings coming off the main screw. I did see some small shavings coming lose, but there were not many and there was really no chance of them getting into the cider. They stuck to the screw until I pulled them off and even if they had fallen they would have just fallen on the top of the press plate. When I initially read those reviews I was quite worried about this. Now that I see them I am not worried at all - at least with this unit. Maybe other presses are designed differently it might be more of a concern. It is very sturdy and I expect that this will probably last me my whole life.

Great quality
I searched for weeks to find a good quality apple cider press that I can use for years to come. After reading all of the reviews I chose this one. Absolutely no regrets. This press is built to last

Works fantastic. One side is not angled right but it still works to secure the mobile portion upright, just a snug fit.

Press base is Not sturdy enough to withstand the force of pressing screw!
The first time I used the press, the press base bent up on the sides at the pivot bolts! I will have to buy a thick stainless steel plate to put on top of the base, under the juice tray so the basket will fit flush on top of the tray and the juice will not over flow out back.

Works great, easy to use, worth the price!
I purchased this press in September 2015, for the upcoming apple season. I just pressed out the first few batches and the press works great. It's not hard to use and makes some great cider. We have u sex it for pear cider as well as apples. I recommend the pressing bags for pears because they seem to be much softer than apples.

How rare it is to be surprised by excellent build quality!
This press exceeded my expectations in every way. The welds are clean, the stainless drain base is nice and thick, the powder-coating is thick, and well applied. It is built as I would have built it. Works great!

Great Prodcut
Great product. Very well made and easy to use. We built ours on a small table that was high enough to fit a 5 gallon bucket under. Made 12 gallons and worked perfectly
