Excellent!
I replaced my tired worn out factory shocks (105,000) on my 05 Ram 1500 3.7L with these Monroe Reflex shocks. After much researching around on forums for different opinions settled with the Reflex's. I am sure happy I did! They were much easier to replace myself than I expected also. By no means am I a master technician but I am mechanically inclined, and decided to give it a try. (YouTube works well for instructional videos for this.) I was skeptical if the Amazon vehicle fit guide would give me the right part number so I called my local parts store to cross check. Some make think that's kind of a jerk thing to do, but I do buy a lot of other products from them often. All four were easy enough to get on and after my test drive couldn't be happier! That gap I hit every morning where the pavement connects to the bridge virtually disappeared. The back end "hop" or what I might say "jumping out" going around some bumpy corners is gone too. I live in Austin and most of my driving is on the pavement. I do drive however on a heavily traveled caliche road 2 miles a day. The UPS, FedEx trucks, along with all the neighbors has caused the road to get a wash-board effect. The shocks have helped tremendously with that as well. After shocks, Costco Michelin X-Radial LT2 265/70/17 (Great tire by the way. Right on par with the Michelin M/S2 according to Consumer Reports and me) and front end alignment, my truck is running fantastic!

Excellent for Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi
Bought these Reflex shocks to replace the rear OEM shocks on my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 Hemi with 134k miles. The orginal shocks were severely worn. Prior to installing these Reflex, I installed a new set of Monroe 171111 Quick - Struts Assembly, which is an OESpectrum, on the front end. With all new shocks and struts, the ride is absolutely amazing. Good balance between handling, firmness and highway comfort. Grips the road, like when it was new. I do have a 250 lbs sports shell over the bed, which might help with keeping the rear end down. The installation was straight forward with no surpises (install top bolt first, cut banding strap, let shock expand to lower fitting, insert bolt as it is drops into lower fitting, install lower bolt).I am very please with these rear Reflex shocks on my Dodge 1500 4x4, when matched up with the Quick - Struts on the front end. I have not experience any harshness, which one might expect. Grips and holds corning very well. I would recommend these shocks, if your considering replacing OEM.

Good improvement in handling, semi-stiff ride quality
I bought these to install on a 2005 Ram 1500 Hemi, long-bed. These replaced the original shocks which had close to 190k miles on them. The difference was like night and day.The ride-quality with these vs. other "standard" truck shocks is firm, but still forgiving. I have only hauled lighter loads (300-400lbs) with very little sag in the rear. Overall handling is better even without a rear anti-roll bar. I do prefer better handling over a softer ride so these are great. However, when driving on "washboard" freeways you definitely feel it. Putting these on a truck with all-new suspension components has a more "precise" feel when driving and handling than aged components.

Excellent Rear Shock For 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 3.7L V6 Quad Cab
Purchased for 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 3.7L V6 Quad Cab.Purchased the truck in April 2015 with about 92K miles. Front and rear shocks were worn out, consequently the truck would bounce around after contact with rough surfaces and bumps. I purchased the Monroe 911186 for the front and 911187 for the rear. Installation is pretty straightforward; front and rear can be knocked out in just over an hour.As one would expect, the difference in feel of the suspension was immediate. Now with approximately 10 months and thousands of miles, I have not noticed any degradation in ride quality. I've hauled several loads of wet mulch, as well as pulled my Gulf Stream travel trailer with no loss of control.Overall, I have been well pleased with this purchasing decision and have no problem recommending this product.

Monroe 911187 Reflex Light Truck Shock Absorber -- 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 4x4 5.7Hemi
Monroe 911187 Reflex Light Truck Shock Absorber -- 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 4x4 5.7HemiThey aren't bad but not great either. I actually liked the factory ones better. If you drive with an empty truck a lot, like I do: I wouldn't spend too much extra for the reflex over the economy version. The technology is better and I'm sure they work better, but how much better is the question. When I do have about 500-1000 extra pounds in the truck the performance is good.I haven't had the truck loaded down yet so I can't comment on that part.It did take about 2 months before they broke in and became tolerable...at 1st I hated them and called Monroe about a refund.I really didn't want to remove them and the cost for shipping etc wasn't worth it.After 2 months the ride improved a lot. I replaced both front and rear BTW.

These seem to be good shocks, time will tell
So far I like these shocks. They are on my 2007 Ram 1500 and the ride seems to be better as well as handling.... However, I had just installed E rated tires which are very stiff so it is impossible for me to be accurate on any ride quality improvement. On my Ram I needed to remove the spare tire to access upper bolt on Driver's side.

Smooth Ride
I replaced the stock struts after 110,000 miles and these Monroe Reflex Absorbers are just what the doctor ordered! The truck used to bounce all over the road and would respond to every bump; now, it is much smoother and I am able to enjoy driving my truck again. I replaced the struts with the truck sitting on my level driveway and an impact wrench. It was extremely easy and much cheaper than going to a shop. I will buy again once these wear out, and will not hesitate to take on the project again.
