Enjoyable
This, to me, was a good balance of human and Monster. Dynamic special effects and a story that works well with the idea. Not sure what people expect from these films.

CAN MANKIND AND TITANS CO-EXIST ? (GREAT VISUAL-CONTENT) (4k VISUAL UPGRADE - GOOD)
* The 4k upgrade certainly enhances the Special-Effect sequences, you'll notice the difference in picture quality if you have also seen the Blu-ray version of the movie. This the follow-up of the 2014 Godzilla movie, kinda following on some five years later (must admit found the 2014 film somewhat disappointing)The film starts with the closing moments of the titan battle on the streets of San Franciso when Godzilla reigned supreme, the battle witnessed by Dr Mark Russell (Kyle Chandler) and his wife Dr Emma Russell (Vera Farmiga)Five years on, the couple now separated, Emma works for Monarch a Titan studying organisation, Mark now a former employee.Emma with her daughter Maddison ( Millie Bobby Brown) witness the birth of a larva dubbed Mortha at the research centre, which appears out of control initially, however, Emma manages to calm it down using a device she'd developed with ex-husband Mark.At this point, the centre is attacked by eco-terrorists led by Alan Jonah (Charles Dance) who kill all other than Emma and her daughter, the group needing Emma's expertise with her orca-device.In the mayhem, Mortha escapes the compound....Mark is persuaded to return if but reluctantly to the fold to help track down the escaped monster and find the eco-terrorists holding his ex-wife and daughter.Meanwhile, Jonah with the help of Emma frees the three-headed Titan known as monster-zero which kills several monarch members before escaping.Monsters begin to emerge from their controlled Monarch environments, Godzilla will do battle with monster-zero who had already seen off Rodan, however, the U.S military launch a high-powered missile toward the battling giants, they believe Godzilla died in the blast, but, monster-zero ( Ghidorah) survives.Ghidorah will awaken many Titans who'll escape their controlled environment. With the world's cities under attack, a miracle is needed to change the course of inevitability..........Dr Ishiro Serizawa (Ken Watanabe) hopes that Godzilla survived the military attack as weapons against the titans on the loose are futile, only the king of the titans is capable of saving the dilemma. Can mankind and Titans co-exist?The script and storyline are pretty thin in truth, the film relies heavily on its visual effects to carry the day.Though the film strays away from the titan battles to tell the story of the Russell family's involvement in proceedings, I did in the main find the film quite watchable, though I can understand the Godzilla purists dislike for the way the action was portrayed. If you like myself have just been looking forward to the spectacle, I'd say you'll probably enjoy the movie in the main.

The Monster Mash
A new Godzilla movie. Following on from the 2014 version, and then 2017's prequel 'Kong; Skull Island.' Having seen the former film will be an idea, otherwise you might slightly struggle to get into this. You might be ok without having seen the second, but that's a good film, so give it a go if you haven't.It's back to the present day for the franchise, as MONARCH, the human organisation that deals with the existence of big monsters, faces new threats. People who have their own agenda for how to treat the creatures, and they're prepared to stop at nothing if someone gets in the way of that. And the monsters themselves. As Godzilla is about to face the battle of his life. it's a fight for the future of life on Earth. Who will come out on top?Sounds epic! But unfortunately it's a slight step back for a franchise that made good ones forward with Kong Skull Island. Whereas that had fairly good human characters, daytime action, and good monster stuff in the middle of it, this goes back to the mistakes of the first film. Focusing a little too much on the humans.Who are a little more three dimensional than the ones in that. But still not that interesting. The lead human villain is not a role that stretches Charles Dance in the least. Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things fame does what she can for her big movie debut. But really needs a role that allows her to show more range. Which Stranger Things season three showed she is capable of.It does get one good laugh out of the behaviour of two of the humans, though. The monster action, when it comes along, is not bad. And of a bigger scale than the first film. But it is taking place too often in the dark or the rain, so it never quite comes over as eye catching as it could. This is quite watchable while it lasts. And one little moment does pack a powerful emotional wallop, in a superbly understated way. The final shot is great as well. But not a film that will stick in the mind for long after. Has it's moments, but just could be a bit better.Do keep watching to the very end of the credits. The dvd has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English. Castilian Spanish. English audio captioned.Subtitles: English, Castilian Spanish, Danish, French, Greek, Norwegian, Swedish. The disc goes into the main menu when loaded with no ads or trailers. The only extra is Monster Tech: Monarch joins the fight. An eight minute featurette with one of the producers talking about all the tech Monarch use in the film and how they came up with the ideas. It is quite a good watch, and makes the film look rather epic....

Especially Good if You Love the Old Godzilla Films
When my brothers and sisters and I were young kids, we watched old Godzilla films every Saturday. It was so much fun. This film, which to me isn't quite as good as the original old films, is very reminiscent of them, and will please others who have good memories of them, like I do. (The plot is very different; it's only reminiscent in the monsters shown.)I wasn't too intrigued with the young actors in this movie, but they aren't all young, and I did love seeing the old monsters resurrected. Besides Godzilla, there's Monster Zero, Ghidorah, Mothra, Rodan, and more. It was so much fun watching them do battle, and they really tear up the scenery. Nuclear Godzilla was a great touch. The almost non-stop action in this movie is terrific. There are almost no slow parts, and one doesn't expect slow parts in an action film. It wasn't believable, of course, but neither is James Bond. This is escapist fare for those who love Godzilla. My Blu-Ray DVD worked perfectly. No trouble whatsoever.Overall, I can recommend this movie highly to those who love action films and especially Godzilla. Be sure to watch the ending credits, however. You get a nice little piece of information after they roll. Lots of fun, lots of action, and not much thought required.

Why are region specific DVDs advertised on areas that can't view them?
I was quickly shopping for a bunch of DVDs for an up coming road trip and I accidently bought a dvd that can't be played in my area. I'm not sure why they are being sold in areas that cant view them. That seems super sketchy.
