Bought turquise, colour is fine, the material is not too bad either BUT and it's a big BUT - the tape heading is cheapskate; not 3-way but only 2-way despite looking like 3-way for pencil pleats. Basically you cannot pleat, you just end up with bunches or a gathering of bunches. I bough 2 pairs of this size and a further 2 pairs of a larger size. Both were badly creased - by the steam press used after manufacture to the extent that although I am using a Shark Steam Press for soft furnishings etc. even though steaming from both sides I cannot, just cannot get rid of some of the hard pressed in creases on the smaller sized curtains. The larger sizes have vertical hard pressed creases whilst the smaller sized have horizontal hard pressed both of which remain despite several hours of trying. As for insulation, the material is thicker than cotton but how much insulating properties there are remain to be seen. If you do not have double glazed windows I certainly wouldn't attempt to use these. As for light reduction, when the sun is shining brightly (with closed curtains and a venetian blind behind) sunlight does shine through but if cloudy then much less so. I bought these to use in a living room for over winter to make the room seem cosier but they really are only suitable for a child's bedroom because of the steamed creases. PS. I steamed the curtains whilst hung. If you steam iron on a flat surface although you may eradicate the hard pressed creases I suspect you will 'stretch' the material and make it 'out of shape'.

Be aware: these curtains are not lined! They do however provide excellent blackout despite not being lined, and I was really surprised at how much light they kept out seeing as the fabric is so light and thin. There is a bit of light bleed, but if you lined these curtains it would be total blackout (or if you pair them with blinds). Im not gonna bother lining them however, the blackout is good enough for me! We'll see come summer how they hold up. Oh, and these curtains do not come with curtain hooks. I bought the black ones and am very pleased. Would have been 5 stars if they came with hooks or were lined.

I was looking for curtains which would block on light for my bedroom but which did not smell and looked nice. Found these ad they are perfect. The material is delicate and could be easily damaged but they iron and hang beautifully. Surprised they block out light very well. I liked them so much that I bought another pair for another room, not because I need a room darkening function there but because they looked so nice. I tried many different brands before settling on these but very happy that I found these.

I mever write reviews but felt i had to for these.We have been using these curtains for the best part of a year now, and I didn't realise how good they were till recently. Our curtain rail fell down and for a few days we didn't have curtains, it has been cold and our windows need replacing, there are gaps in the seals so it got pretty cold and draught, plus our bed is against the window so you really felt the draught. Well the night they went back up the difference was significant and very noticeable. Our room is South facing so gets sunshine all day, my baby naps in there too and the black out is fab, he sleeps so well even in the middle of the day, again we really noticed the difference when we didn't have them.Highly recommend them.

I really like the colour of these curtains. They are very effective as black-out curtains. The material does feel a bit 'elasticky' and I'm not sure whether it would wash well or leak colour - there appears to be no washing label with it that I've noticed. It arrived with deep folding creases which were a bit tricky to iron out (obviously not wanting to burn it at all.....). Overall however, considering the price, I'm very pleased with them so far.

These curtains have a lovely feel to them and the colour is identical to the picture. They really help to darken the room and block out the heat. They do not provide a full blackout. When the sun is shining directly on the window, you will need some blinds as well. You can buy temporary blinds on Amazon if needed. I am happy with the curtains and will be buying more of them.

Soft feel curtains. Lovely colour. But not pencil pleat! More like gathering at the top than pleating because of the type of curtain tape used. For this reason I would not buy them again. I would choose something with a better quality header tape which would pleat the curtain rather than gather. Could not describe them as blackout either, as they do let light in.

Amazing curtains definitely keep the light out, very nice quality and inexpensive to buy, would recommend to anyone looking for quality at an affordable price, were well packaged, delivery was fast, great service, im very happy with this curtains thanks
