I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He was looking to retire his backpack for something with more a professional appearance. Overall I was pleased with the purchase as was my boyfriend. He loves it and I would most definitely buy it again. I read the reviews prior to my purchase and all of the customer feedback prepared me for what to expect. There were no surprises.Pros: The bag is larger than I thought so it is the perfect size for a taller man. It is also wide enough to hold a laptop, charger, legal pad, and pens. Overall, the bag looks exactly like it does in the photos.Cons: The bag smells like horse poo, or maybe cow poo. It's terrible, but has seemed to wear off over the course of the past month. the strap does not seem very sturdy so I fear over time it will no longer be able to support the weight of the items inside. The interior looks cheap, and I believe someone else posted photos of that.

Bought on sale for $25. Definitely well worth it! This is not a $250 bag, but is a good buy at twice the price I paid, or more.It is major heavy duty! Serious leather look and feel.Smelly, as others have said. A little leather cleaner and soap should fix that. Costs $4 at Walmart.Strap buckle could have been better positioned but its not too bad.Lots of room! bigger than expected. Would easily fit most laptops and a portfolio, books and notes .Four pockets inside, two are zippered. one zippered pocket outside. see attached pictures.Inside liner has had negative comments. It looks like a treated heavy cloth. Seems like it is durable enough. Not supreme quality.Much better than a backpack.

Great bag for the price. Its a nice entry option for a leather bag. Like most customers have reviewed it does a have a funny smell to it but I can get past that. It does have some minor flaws and cosmetic flaws. There were some scratches on the bag but nothing i couldnt take care of myself. The only flaw that kinda bugs me the most is the magnetic buttons to close the flap. One of them is not lined up correctly so you have to move the flap a little bit to position it in the correct spot for it to latch properly. It not terrible but it bugs me, Im sure ill get over it, but overall for the price its great.

We used this for a costume accessory so not sure how it would hold up for every day use. It looks and feels great but unfortunately it smells awful. When I took it out of the bag, the smell of the leather was so bad I had to hang it outside to air out for days. I don' t know what was giving it the odor but this is the reason I don't give it a 5 star rating.

This is a very nice bag. It seems well constructed and the leather seems thick and tough. The magnetic closures are small, and may not always align, but I don't care. The flap on the front of the bag will always remain in the downward position due to gravity. If you are concerned about the magnetic closure, you could make sure they are in place each time you close the bag. The magnetic closures consist of a small circle with a smaller raised circle and a similar circle for the female piece with a depressed smaller circle in which the smaller raised circle can fit into. The nipple/hole design requires alignment. It may have been better to use flat magnets, so when the flap fell, it would automatically align. These magnetic closures may provide additional security, but again, who cares, because you have to lift a flap that is as large as the height of the bag to access it anyway. I am very pleased with the bag, and I use it often!

I got this bag on sale. It wasn't my first choice, but I couldn't afford the extra $40 for that item. It arrived on time with no defects. There is a very, very slight leather odor, but after one day it's gone. I like that it is sturdy. When I set it down on the floor, it stays standing. I always worried about my laptop in my old briefcase. Plus, since it is sturdy, it's easy to get my hands into it to find what I'm looking for. I have my Mac in this case and it holds that, plus two "large-sized" books. I think this bag will last a long time. I'm really happy with my purchase - it's color, the size, the durability, and that it has the separate compartments/dividers. I think you'll be happy with it. Oh, and I bought this as my work bag so it gets a workout 5 days a week! :)

the bag's construction is great and i can tell it's very sturdy and will last a long time. I've gotten several compliments on it already! It has a pocket for a laptop and room for about six or seven books inside as well. I agree with the other reviewers who said it has a chemical odor.. still trying to figure out what to do about that but since other people don't seem to notice it around me, I'm kind of getting used to it. Ive had the bag for about a week and the smell is going away a bit, so I feel like with time it'll fix itself.

This is a cheap bag. It's a great value for the price you pay. For $40 theres no reason to complain.Pros: large, even stitching, good looking. Quick shipping. Great value.Cons: I opened the front flap for the first time and the snap closure pulled free from the leather easy fix. The entire bag was covered in a sticky grease and needed a heavy cleaning. Holy smell, this thing STINKS like vegetable tanning. But it's almost aired out 3 days later.

It looked ok, dispute the colour being completely different to the listing, it’s was a dark brown, not the light tan colour. However the reason I returned it almost immediately was the smell. It was not that lovely brand new leather smell. This thing had a pungent chemical smell that dispute airing would not go away.I need to put books and a computer in it. Perhaps even a nicely wrapped sandwich, but with that smell you’d not want it to linger or be transferred to your belongings. And that sandwich is now going straight to the bin!It was truely a revolting small. Which is a pity because it seems like it’s was reasonable well made for the price.
