I installed these about a month ago. It took about 30 minutes to get them installed, though I certainly wasn't rushing it either. For me, drilling a hole under the cabinets between the wall sections and out of sight took a 1/4 inch drill, and I had to then route out those holes slightly with the side of the bit. Shoved the male end through the hole to clean out any residual dust and so it didn't get trapped in the female end.Adhesion of the lights themselves was pretty straight forward. However since my cabinets have a few years on them, I made sure to triple clean the surface with Miracle Wipes cleaning cloths, which are a solvent of a sort but do not leave a residue. This is a critical function because even the cleanest housekeepers rarely get around to wiping down, let alone degreasing under kitchen cabinets.Let it dry for an hour, place 3 adhesive strips on each light, feed the pigtail through the cabinet wall, and adhere them to the cabinet, making sure of exact placement before pressing tight. Hold the pressure on the light for about 15 seconds each and it's done. The way I installed these, all the weight doesn't hang on those adhesive strips. The light is almost the entire width of the cabinet, so the cord going through the wall does carry most of the weight with the adhesive strips doing little more than maintaining position and stability.Getting the power cord situated was a little more complicated. First, you have to connect the power through the on/off dimmer switch, but also realize that switch is way too heavy for the zipties with adhesive. At best those things might serve to anchor a cord along a vertical surface. Fortunately, the package does include multiple plastic retainer clips with a single screw that fits around the cord nicely. One on each side of the switch provides all the support necessary. If I had kids at home that also used this, I'd likely buy some high adhesive double sided tape to provide some stability to the back of the switch.The switch works great and brings down the light level to barely that of a nightlight and make it safe to navigate through the kitchen. It's nice to have something I can turn on low in case someone needs a drink in the middle of the night but without messing with lights or having one so bright it fully wakes you up.But on full bright, it's amazing how much light these things put out and without adding any heat, while adding a nice sparkle to the kitchen. Reflecting off my black stone counter tops and appliances and some glassware, it looks gorgeous. They can be on for hours and still be cool to the touch. This adds so much light to my working space and makes food prep more enjoyable.The color temperature of the light is on the cool side, being a white with just a hint of blue. I expect these to last a long time, but if one does go out, swapping it out should be about as fast as changing a light bulb.

These were great, though we did return because they just weren't what we were looking for. However, the brightness was nice. Not overwhelming. They did seem to get a bit hot, but nothing concerning. They were very easy to set up and the additional wiring for them was perfect sizes for the shelves I wanted to put them on. They would look great on a bookshelf as a back light, or just some extra light inside cabinets without having to worry about wiring.I didn't try out their sticky tape or mountain hardware because again, they weren't exactly what we wanted so I don't have an opinion of those.

I've gotten three sets of these, all for display cabinets. The lights themselves are great. They're bright, easy to install, and come with just about anything and everything one might need for installation. THE CATCH is the doubles-sided tape they come with is terrible. So far i've used them on wood and metal surfaces, with the exact same problem. if you ARE NOT using the adhesive mounting option, then this product is easily 5-stars from me.THE NOT SO STICKY SITUATION: The thick 3M stuff for the lights is about 75% effective, while the white patches on the zip-strip squares is absolutely awful. So far i haven't YET had anything in the displays get damaged by falling lights/cables, but today was a close call. I am going to have to gut my displays, disassemble to remove the lights, buy replacement adhesive solution, then totally rework the entire system.BOTTOM LINE: these are 100% worth buying, just make sure you order your own adhesive materials for mounting along with them.

Used to light a safe by adding a motion sensor to replace the On/Off dimmer that came with kit so light would be automatic. If you dont mind turning on a switch, then use kit as it comes. Could not be happier. The Six LED strips mounted securely with the plastic clips and give more then enough light. All wires were plug and play.....Easy! Great product

I was going to install these with screws and clips, I still may. But these lights are seriously lite! They're tiny little things that can't weigh more than a few ounces each. 3 strips of 3M on each should be MORE than enough to keep them up indefinitely. I cleaned the underside of the cabinets with a little Fantastik on a paper towel to cut any grease that might have been there. The hardest part of the install was crossing the Microwave! I was going to drill the cabinets and run the wires through the inside. Instead I removed 4 of the screws from the bottom plate of the microwave, tucked the wire inside and replaced the screws. It's completely hidden, semi-permanent, and no holes. If you decide to to the same be careful of the bulbs. If you have the original bulbs, they can get very hot, be sure you wire is out of the way. I replaced mine with LED a few months ago. The color of the microwave light matches the under cabinet lights. What most important is the wife LOVES the whole install. She says it looks amazing and that I did an awesome job. I'm pretty proud of it too. Not bad for a couple hours of work. Why so long? crossing the microwave and crossing the corner between the cabinets with no visible wires. Now to add a little switch next to the light switch to turn the set on and off. Thankfully the power adapter is also lightweight. A couple of strips should keep it securely fastened under the cabinet too. Photos of the completed project are attached.

I ordered and installed this light set. It had different mounting option selections and was easy to install. I was very happy with them but after a couple of weeks the switch no longer turned the lights off. They would dim significantly but not turn off. I was within the return window but contacted the company through Amazon instead, and I could not be happier. After a couple of messages asking for info and pictures they solved the problem with a replacement. What wonderful customer service! I contacted the company after business hours on friday and received the replacement the following Wednesday. The lights are great as well, perfect for under cabinet kitchen lighting.

Amazing value! 6 X 30cm (1ft) light units with 1metre extensions for each unit.The light units feel good quality with a bright natural daylight illumination. The lights come with various fixing methods, either sticky pads, or screwable fixing clips should you need to change the layout.The lighting has a dimmer switch to control the intensity of the illumination, however, in a kitchen situation I would prefer full light at switch on (I might replace the dimmer with a normal on/off switch).Using the sticky pads the whole system can be fitted in 20 minutes.

Purchased this set of lights and installed them with out any problems at all. They worked great until after 6 months of use they started to flicker and dim when I turned them on. I checked all installation connections to make sure they are right and tight and found no problem so I contacted this seller (there is a 2yr warranty on these lights) and after 2 messages they were sending me what I needed to fix the problem and I received them in 2 days and is working perfect again. I would recommend this set of lights offered by this seller 100% as the product is very nice and nicely priced and has a great warranty also.Gord
