Sandtex Trade5 Litre Trade Smooth Masonry Paint Brilliant White

Paint is just paint, all the same, right? Err, not it's not. Not by a long chalk. And especially not now, where Euro legislation (or whatever the cause), has resulted in far less oil-based paints and far more water-based versions (where the two types are, in my experience, mostly very different indeed … with water-based gloss paints for example oftn being horrible compared to traditional old-fashioned oil-based gloss). Anyway, this particular paint (Sandtex Trade Smooth Masonry Paint, Brilliant White) is great despite being water-based (and therefore easy clean-up). What's so great about it? Well first it's very thick and completely non-drip, which makes it very easy to use, and secondly because it is so thick/dense the coverage is great. It's also genuinely bright white (some modern “brilliant white” paints are actually quite dull and noticeably slightly off-white). The finish is not gloss of course, but it's not a dull or completely flat matte finish either … it's just exactly right for the bright white areas of stonework on a period house (as pictured on the 5 litre tub, in fact).

This Sandtex TRADE masonry paint is amazing, excellent coverage, easy to apply, brilliant white ( as it says on the tin) nice creamy texture. I have been painting our bungalow for 25 years and by using this paint has made it look the best it has ever been. I was recommended to use it from a family member and I would recommend it to everybody. 😊

Quality paint ,good coverage , not cheap ,but does what it says on the tin.

Sandtex products are superb and always have been. A little bit pricey but WELL worth the extra.
