I've been a biotech investor/trader for the last few years. While some reviews here have stated the information is out of date, I've found it very useful. One thing about trading biotechs is the risk. Tom Abate helps you lower that risk and shows you how. He also looks at the upcoming fields in biotech that could prove profitable in the long and near future. As he states, always do your own DD. Don't expect any book to tell you to buy this and not to buy that. But this book will teach the newer investors, remind the older traders of mistakes made in the past and help everyone look to the future in this exciting field.

I'm new to investing but have a M.Sc. in Biotechnology, this book was perfect for filling in the knowledge gaps. What I liked most about this book is that it addresses people of all ages, education levels & experience levels. Another thing that makes this book better than others in this category is that although its a number of years old now, it is still extremely beneficial. Definitely a must-read for those looking to invest in Biotech.

Somewhat dated.

This is a very good book to get a rapid overview on how to invest in the biotech industry, filled with numerous concrete examples. However, thorough investors would rapidly move towards a more in-depth and up to date literature.

The information is more than 10 years old. The changes in this field are very fast. Some tips are useful.

Very good book on the unique concepts of biotech investing. It covers all areas and would be useful for beginners or advanced investors.
