Blending brush but a little flimsy
Great for blending, but not thick bristles. A bit flimsy, more for a light application

Great blending brush
Great blending brush! I have very little lid space to work with but this brush picks up a lot of color and has very "loose" bristles. Not loose as in falling out, but loose as in the opposite of dense. I typically use it for the "outer V" and sometimes for my crease and it works very well for the crease, but lacks the firmness needed to maintain a solid "V" shape. No issues with washing the brushes either (all the color is easily removed with just a little baby shampoo, and I've yet t notice any shedding). I would definitely repurchase this if I ever needed to, but if you're careful with these brushes they can last several years. I would highly recommend this to any woman looking to upgrade her eyeshadow brushes from EcoTools or Real Techniques, or this could make a great gift if both with other Sigmas brushes (I promise I'm not a paid shill for Sigma, I just happen to own a lot of their eye brushes and I've yet to be disappointed!).

Way bigger than advertised
Bought because it says its for hooded eyes and small. Wrong! Its covers 3/4 my lid. Good coverage and blending though but not what I was looking for in size

DREAM FOR BLENDING ***Dupe for the 224 by MAC***
Seriously ladies this is a brush up there in the MAC 224 family (Also see Sigma's E35...AHHHMAZING, the dupe for the old MAC 222), but without the shedding and falling apart that has been associated with that brush. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this brush! I've heard a few people say it is a good replacement for the 217, but they obviously don't know their brushes....I use both brushes personally, except I no longer buy the MAC versions because I think this Sigma E38 is a better quality brush for WAAAAAAY LESS $$$$. Compare the MAC 224 at $32 to this brush at $14!TIP *** If you read my review for the Sigma E25 which is the Dupe for MAC 217 you already know that Coastal Scents 'Pro Blending Fluff' version of the MAC 217 is a better deal than both the MAC and the Sigma E25 at $4.95 and it is an awesome brush too!!!! ***

Almost perfect.
This does diffuse out the edges of my eye shadow look quite effortlessly, even blending out jet blacks or vibrant colors. Also lovely for applying a transition shade into the crease if that is your preference. If picking up a blending color to use on the eye to blend out extremely difficult colors, this picks up just the right amount and really buffs the two colors together. The reason i only give this two stars is in the one i received there is one cut, blunt, very irritating bristle somewhere in the middle of the brush that I cannot find. I do not use this brush that often. Barely every really because this bristle is almost painfully scratchy. I have tried to hunt the offender down and pluck or trim it out. However it is somewhere in the middle of the brush and all of the bristles are deep black so it is very difficult to find this one, slightly shorter very annoying bristle in with the others. Also with the quality have come to expect from Sigma, I shouldn't have this issue. I would order another to see if it was a fluke, but I don't want to risk spending the money or having to go through the return process.

A beauty of a brush
I am loving all the perks of growing older. But along with small, deep-set eyes, I now have some new creases. I've been disappointed with many "crease" brushes that are too large or too prickly or too stiff or short. The Sigma E38 is the best I've ever used, and the price is half that of some that are in my brush collection. It's a pleasure to reach for it every morning. It takes mere seconds to do the job of picking up the perfect amount of powder and applying it in exactly the right place. I give this brush high marks.

A great range of brushes.
IMHO, Sigma make-up brushes are probably the best, and if you can't find a particular brush to do a particular job, you probably won't find it anywhere. This E38 diffused crease does just what it says. Great for applying and blending eyeshadow into the crease. Washes well and keeps its shape.
