Gave new life to a 19 year old car!
8/24/16I love my 1997 BMW 528i. I've had it since 2001 and I don't like any of the new body styles after 2003. The E39 is one of the last good looking BMWs in my opinion and I will keep it as long as I can.Of course with an aging car, there's maintenance headaches, and the lust for new and shiny gadgets. I've been using a cassette tape adapter until now to get my tunes to the stereo and now I'm finally in the 21st century.Install was easy with the provided connectors and instructions were pretty straight forward, although they could be better. I'll be running the mic cable to the headliner tomorrow for a nice clean install, but I tested everything and it works. I have steering wheel controls for skipping tracks, and the phone button on my steering wheel summons google now on my Galaxy S7! I can make calls and send texts without ever looking away from the road!I will update this review if I encounter any issues, but for now, all is well!12/14/16 UPDATEI recently bought another E39 BMW 5 series. A 2002 530i. One of the first things I did was purchase another one of these kits. On my older 528i, I routed the Grom unit to the glovebox, thinking it wouldn't have enough room to live behind the MID, but on my 530i, I discovered the installation was even easier than I thought. Not taking apart the dash, no sweating. 20 minutes start to finish. Just tap the 3 required wires on the stock radio harness and you're up and running.I still have the older car and my fiancee is using it at the moment, but whenever I go between cars, the handoff happens seamlessly on my phone's end. I can't recommend this product enough for folks who still love their older cars but want just a pinch of the 21st century in there.=)

Seamless integration into 2004 BMW M3 Coupe!
This is a fantastic product! I have worked on several BMWs of this era and have worked to upgrade them to include Bluetooth and this was the easiest solution yet! It maybe took 40 minutes to install (behind the Business CD radio head unit), and worked perfectly the first time. Steering wheel controls work, and the included microphone's fidelity is great; people can't even tell I'm in the car. I think this system may even be better than some factory systems!

Not happy about having to spend the additional $60 to make ...
Was unaware that I needed an additional harness in order for this to work in my car. Hooked up the unit following the instructions and then after spending about an hour and a half installing and troubleshooting I got to the last step and it then read that if the car is equipped with an electronic dsp button, I needed a different harness. Not happy about having to spend the additional $60 to make it work. Had I known I would have not ordered it.

Works 95% but still love it.
Love the addition to my 05 325xi. Works 95% of the time. From steals connectivity whenever close to car tho even if car is off. Works almost flawlessly in car and hands free is awesome. Def worth the money. Easy installation if u have basic mechanical skill. YouTube install was very helpful. Would buy again for sure. Doesn’t worth flawlessly but very nice to have.

Not a good fit for my car
Haven't been able to connect to my BMW radio. It was listed as the unit for my BMW. but the connectors don't match.

Pretty good with a minor inconvenience.
Installed in a 2002 BMW X5 with Nav and CD Changer inn rear. Works pretty good but when switching from Aux input to phone it can drop the bluetooth connection. Usually receiving a call works but when initiating a call it disconnects and you need to reconnect bluetooth after the call starts. But overall it's pretty good and priced reasonably.

Adding modern features to a classic car!
Works as intended, in fact I’m very impressed out how slick it intergrated with the factory deck. And included connectors made the install job very easy.
