These Really Work
Simple product, but probably add 20 to 30 yards to my throws. I'm not a pro, but work my Labrador for about 30 minutes every day. They are easier on my hands and allow me to throw farther. I purchase them for all my dummies. Simple knots will no longer do.

Saves your fingers :)
Lot's of chatter about "extra distance" with these Dokken Power Throw Grips. In my case, I don't see "extra distance" but a lot less wear and tear on my first two fingers from the "knot" slipping though them with each toss. Will the Power Throw Grip bounce up and hit a dog's face running back with the dead fowl? Yea, it can. But I've yet to see it knock my American Golden Retriever out cold or even get her to lose her gait.Distance in the throw isn't that important. It's keeping your dog at your side after the toss, giving it the "fetch" command and having it go "find the grouse" and bring it back to you.The best way to get distance is to throw DOWNWIND. Then watch your dog circle around it, locate it and then retrieve it. Dog has to use it's nose more to find it and there's nothing more amazing than watching a retriever use it's nose, not its eyes or ears, but it's nose to find an object. But, more than that, you're teaching your dog to use it's "own natural instincts" to find the bird.I'm not interested in water training my dog, we just hunt Ruffled, Blue and Franklin Grouse here in western Montana. Oh, and do give your dog a grouse for dinner too. Dogs understand, like wolves, hunting for dinner. ;)Also, the Dokken Power Throw Grip picture on this page shows two Throw Grips, but do engage your eyes. The photo isn't saying there are two grips in the package. Instead, it's showing you the front and rear of the grip so you can see the small hole in one and the larger hole in the grips back side that the cord knot recesses in. Just one in a package not two.And if you don't like the price, which is a bit high, you're free to make your own throw grip. It's not that difficult to do. A 2-inch piece of wooden doweling with a hole drilled in the center for the cord would work great. ;)MARCH 07 2923 UPDATE:After my plastic throw struck a rock the other day and broke, I swung by here to order another one. Seen the $9.99 price for an object that once sold for about $2.00, I decided to shift to the 2-inch section of broom stick handle. Which, in my humble opinion, works much better than a round ball. They simply are not worth $10 buck each.

Expensive
This is the Dokken power ball no doubt, but don’t wast your money. You can get them for half the price at Cabelas or Bass Pro.

Gives you distance.
This product will keep your hands from getting roughed up while throwing the dummy. I usually use it with my dog at the lake, and the wet dummy and string gets a little sand/grit on the rope causing cuts and what not on my fingers after a couple dozen throws. This helps to keep that issue to a minimum and gives you extra distance on your dummy throws

There is only 1 item per package
Only 1 item per package even though the picture shows two, most likely to indicate the two sides of the string entry through the ball. It is misleading as I order 2, expecting 4 throwing balls to arrive, and only received 2. Had to reorder.

Heavy Duty
Worked great. Really helps with throwing distance

Very nice item
I use these to get greater distance when I throw a training dummy. These work on Dokken trainers or standard training bumpers. Great item and worth the money.

Rip Off
Every picture of this shows TWO - and they send ONE. $9.30 for two pieces of plastic was bad enough but for one is a rip off. Also, while slightly more comfortable than a plain knot, you maybe get 5 yards more distance… do NOT believe these will add 50% more.
