Great Add to Work Routine
This is one of those rare things that you add into your work routine (either pro level or DIY) and you then wonder how you ever got along without it in the past!A quality made unit that allows for some customization, The Gunnie Tool Holder slides over the top of your pants (or shorts) and it intuitive to holding your cordless drill. A quick flexing of the grip area allow the users to gain some adjustment to ease of entry/ removal of tool.Even if you leave the bid in the tool, you can move around easily without any problems. While on a ladder over the past weekend, I was able to drill at head height and then attach curtain rod supports without having to set down the drill or hold it between my knees (usually ending in a drop to the hardwood floors).Really, once this is incorporated into your toolkit, you will wonder how you got along without it.Really, this should have been invented years a

Love them. Great tool used one on ladder
Love these clips and the way they are curved to slip into pants or under your belt. Modified one to fit on my ladder so it’s there when I need it, especially since I often have two drills at the same time. Drill bit/screwdriver bit. Only complaint is aluminum screws are junk. Snapped when I hand tightened. Other than that, great product. Nice for when you don’t want to wear a tool belt.

Unexpected Flaw. Not a Deal-Breaker.
I've used this for two or three work sessions at my local theater building sets, and, at this point, I have mixed feelings about this solution. On the one hand, it is infinitely less intrusive than a holster. I feel no weight. There is no presence at hip and leg. Nothing to get in the way when I take a break and sit. The balance when my Dewalt 20V Max XR is on my hip is also great. The one gripe that I have about the Gunnie is integral to its design. When I grab my drill from a typical holster, I wrap my fingers around the grip and lift. Everyone does, right? You can't do that with the Gunnie, of course. Because the Gunnie is wrapped around the drill's grip.I just rewatched the video that accompanies the pictures of the Gunnie here on Amazon. Conscious now of this aspect of the Gunnie, my eye was drawn to the way in which the demonstrator either grabs the body of the drill to unholster or lifts up on the trigger guard. After unholstering, of course, he would necessarily have to shift his grip ... well, to the grip. This is not a deal-breaker for me. Not yet, at least. Call it: Unexpected. I'll have to weigh the pluses and minuses with more time and use.I do not, BTW, have the same problem getting my drill out of the holster that others have reported here. The plastic clip does not hold too tightly. My drill lifts out just fine. I have no idea what these people are talking about.

Good idea
Very cool design and idea but very hard to pull impact out of it. Kinda awkward. They need to creat an opening in the middle of the hook for a finger to slip in and blast off

Truly a game changer, for real.
I'm a finish carpenter an painter by trade, so I don't break out the full tool belt often.Ever since I got my Makita XSA01 Dust Blower I wanted it on me at all times because it's just so handy, and I wanted tthe option to have it on either hip, so I looked into solutions and came across this and they had a two pack. I hesitated at first, but I'm so glad I went with it.It takes a bit to flex the plastic open enough to easily slide the tool handle in and out, but it works with anything that has a handle, even a leaf blower for the snow that fell soon after I first got it!I immediately thought of ways I would improve it: it could do with a piece of metal for a tape measure to clip onto the side of it, or a large magnet. As it is it takes up some real estate, and it would be nice to have it be multipurpose. This truly is awesome though, and worth getting for the price.

Hanging in there
Finally an impact holder that doesn’t lose its grip. I’ve tried full holsters (too bulky), hooks (too floppy), and another clip in grip design that saw my poor impact driver bite the dust six times in a day. Then I heard of the Gunnie. So good to be reminded that sometimes things really do work well. I bought a few, as I have various tool belts and tool vests. Found the Gunnie to be quite adaptable. On one, a pocket slip over, the rivet screw attachment made it perfectly secure. On another, with Atlas46 AIMS connection, a little snip and trim allowed it to hold very well to the webbing. And the grip on the screw gun has never failed, no matter how wild the west might get. The tension of the grip is totally adjustable, holding firm yet releasing with just the right twist and pull. Way to go Gunnie!

Does not fit Milwaukee M12 Impact drill
The handle of the M12 drill is too thick and doesn’t fit this holster very well. It keep falling off my belt when I was moving around and going up and down ladders. Maybe it’s ok if you’re stationary working on top of a table all day.

Good clip holster
If you like clip style holsters for your cordless drill or impact driver this works great. Has held up well so far and doesn’t add a bunch of weight to your tool belt. Comes with a nice screw so you can permanently mount on your belt or just leave it out for temporary use
