Adult Vine Weevil Trap - Each trap consists of a specially designed wooden board, that has 3 grooves in it, which are filled with a gel containing 2.5 million nematodes (Steinernema carpocapsae), which attracts the adults. The boards are placed face down directly onto the ground beneath your plants. The adult beetles will crawl into the grooves looking for a sheltered spot to hide in during the day. The nematodes in the gel will then infect the adult beetles and safely kill them without harming anything else - these traps are safe for children, pets and wildlife. Each trap will control adult beetles in a 10 sqm area or 4m of hedging and each trap is effective for approx 6 weeks. They are ideal for protecting hedges, patio gardens, raised beds or amongst your most vulnerable or valuable plants. Position the traps when adult vine weevils are at their most active i.e. from June until the end of September. For the best results, position a new trap after 6 weeks

Good idea but
Good idea but ..... Mine has not caught any vine weevils in the two months it has been in place and the rain has caused the wood to warp so it doesn't stay flat on the ground and half of the gel in the grooves has fallen out. Pity because I wanted it to work. Perhaps the idea can be refined?

Good product
It works well. In mid June I saw many vine weevils (at least fifteen) crawling in my garden and decided to buy this product. I placed the block of wood on the soil, following the instructions carefully. Nine days later I saw one of these adult insects dying; I then looked around the garden carefully and found several dead ones (about six). They were in all different parts of the garden, so it is important to remember that they do not necessarily die near the block of wood. I have now bought the product for the larvae, to get rid of the problem fast.

Expensive and only treats one plant so no use if you have a container garden.
It didn't work! I'm still overrun with vine weevils and you can only treat one pot plant, I'd assumed it could be broken into sections and placed in various different pots.
