This makes it difficult & painful to wring a chamois by hand
I'm getting older & don't have as much strength in my hands & as as I used to have. This makes it difficult & painful to wring a chamois by hand. This wringer is fantastic! It is a pleasure to use especially since I've got an SUV, a pick-up truck & a very large 5th wheel RV to wash. I wish I had bought one of there years ago.

Works OK for my needs
I like to use a chamois to dry my vehicles after a good wash. It can be a pain in the butt when I have to wring out mine and the wife's chamois every 2-3 minutes when drying our two SUVs because she doesn't have the hand strength. She can operate the wringer on her own and get the chamois dryer compared to me hand wringing. One of the stand feet are a little bent up and the wringer rocks on level ground. Makes it harder to wring the chamois when the stand is rocking back/forth.Pros:- Easy to use for the kid and wife- Easy to move and adjust the height with stand- Folds up and I have it hang on a wall hook in the garage out of the way- Saves time drying the vehicle, help reduce water spotsCons:- The handle is directly connected to one roller, upper roller turns just on friction (needs a gear to turn both rollers at the same time)- The red handle grip does not rotate in your hand as you wring the chamois (nice to have feature at this price)- Chamois can easily jam wringer if it is folded more than twice when wet- Sometimes you need step on stand feet, crank handle, and pull the chamois from other end to get it through the rollers without jamming- Price, can't figure out why rollers of this type are so expensive everywhere I look? It should be $50-$75+shipping- You need a wrench to adjust the pressure between the rollers, no "on the fly" adjustments- I end up getting more water on my legs/feet compared to hand squeezing the chamois because I need to steady the stand feet.I will still keep the wringer. I will update if I have any maintenance issues over the car wash season. The longer I keep it, the closer I get to breaking even compared to hitting the local car wash at $12 a vehicle twice a month.***UPDATE 4/10/14***Called the company about the wobbly stand and they sent a replacement stand with return UPS sticker.

Chamois wringer and stand are made well and sturdy. It's expensive but hopefully you get what you pay for. Have only had it for approximately one week (1/12/15) and used it once. You have to put your foot on the bottom of the stand or hold the top bracket with your other hand when you insert a chamois and crank it through the wringer, if you don't it will turn over. Either that or securely mount the entire assembly to the floor or deck.
