I found that most of the colors that didn’t have a light undertone did not show up on my brunette daughter. For example, the electric blue was almost unnoticeable. The lighter colors (teal, pink) were more noticeable but not vibrant. The showed up better on my blonde hair. The crayon has a texture like wax or maybe a soft soap. Because the directions include heating with a flat iron, I expected that with the heat, it would be less sticky. It may was slightly less sticky but it was still not dry. The colors did wash out with one wash. Ultimately, my 9 year old likes them but I wouldn’t buy again.

My kids love having colorful hair. I like how easy it is to apply, and it washes out easily with no staining on the hair.

Fair warning: we're all light blondes here. I get to have pretty color in my hair, the kids do to. It's easy to use, comes out clean and has a lot of color choice, you know, so you can match your hair to your outfit.The pouch to put them in is artistic and nice. Makes the kids feel grown up having a makeup bag.
