Accurate and Easy to use at a great price point
I don't often write reviews, but I was so impressed with the NuTech Pro VR1 that I had to let you know. I received it as an early Father's day present and used it for my first round a day later. First off, the unit came with a pouch, a charging cable, a small instruction pamphlet and a cloth for cleaning the lenses. The unit was nearly fully charged, as it only needed about 10 minutes to charge before the charged indicator came on. I definitely like not having to worry about battery replacement. There is a battery low feature that comes on at about 25% remaining charge which is more than enough for a full round. So I don't have to worry about not having it available. Many golf carts have usb charging ports now too, so charging while playing is an option. The range finder has a good feel with a rubbery tacky feel that worked well in the warm humid day. My playing partner had a high end bushnell and my measurements were nearly always the same as his, +/- a yard. He new it was my first time with a range finder, so he was giving me guidance on how to rest my hand on the side of the cart to prevent jittery views. I said with the pin sweep on I merely had to line up on the pin and sweep side to side to get a tactile buzz to show I was locked on the pin. His unit didn't have that. I also had the slope function on, and it accurately calculated the slope distance (I checked with some trig). His Bushnell didn't have that either. The VR1 also has an ocular adjustment so I can take the readings with or without my glasses. Amazing clear 6x visual even without my glasses on. The pouch has an outside pocket for the charging cord, and the unit also comes with a wrist lanyard. The pouch can be worn on a belt, but I attached it to my bag with a carabiner clip that worked great (I didn't want to accidentally leave it in the cart, so attaching it to my bag worked great).Overall, extremely happy after one day of ownership. At 1/3 the cost of my buddy's Bushnell, I'm doubly pleased. I plan to use it until I get the battery warning to see how many rounds I can get in before needing to charge. If anything changes I will update.Update nearly a year later: Still very happy with the rangefinder. The battery seems to last 10-15 rounds depending on use, though I have yet to wait till the low battery indicator comes on so it could last for months without charging. I keep it in it's case whenever I'm not shooting the pin so it's been well protected. Played in the rain a couple of times and didn't notice any change in accuracy or performance. The case kept it pretty dry.

Range Finder
This is my first range finder for use on the golf course. The devise is easy to use and not very complicated to understand. I am not sure if its me or not but when I am pointing at the flag sticky, it does not always give the correct reading. I have to sometimes take 2-3 measurements and then ask my partner to confirm so I know what the distance is. I sent an email to the vendor but never heard back on what the problem may be and wish it was more accurate.

Performance far exceeds the price.
Right out of the package I liked the texture and feel of the range finder. Its outside surface is grippy, so I never felt like I was going to drop it. All modes worked as advertised and the focus worked well to ensure the target and display were crisp and clear. As far as accuracy goes, i had this out and there was another high end range finder in our pair along with a phone with a popular app and a higher end golf watch. The NuTech was within a yard of the watch and the higher end range finder pretty much each time, while the phone was a bit unreliable depending on movement. There is honestly no way to know which was right, but lets be honest none of us really know the difference from 199 to 200 yards.Pro - Best part about this range finder is how quickly and easily it locks a pin or other targets. It is fast and repeatable. I was very impressed by this. Also, I have golfed 4 rounds, and had 3 range sessions with it and the battery is still rolling along great. I'll be curious to see how the internal battery holds up over time.Cons - When in slope mode the non slope value remains in the center of your vision and then in the bottom right of your vision the "-1" or 1 degree shows up and then the slope adjusted distance shows up. Unless I pushed the NuTech against my face the bottom right slope value was a bit hard to see. I also don't understand why it would show me that its -1 degree down hill first and then show me the slope adjusted value. To me you have to wait to long to see the slope adjusted value. In my opinion when in slope mode the slope adjusted value should be in the middle of the screen and then the degrees uphill or downhill and the non adjusted value should show up in the bottom right. This irritated me a little bit at first, but I got used to it after a few holes.Overall, i'll have a hard time justifying ever buying an expensive range finder with the performance I've discovered with NuTech. I just don't see how it could get any better than this, especially when you consider the $120 price point of the NuTech.

Poor performance - Rev. 1
I changed my rating because the seller applied 1-year warranty and sent me a new replacement ASAP. It was cool. Hope it works this time.I purchased this product on June, 2019. Until 3-4 months passed, it worked fine, but after that, its performance got deteriorated. It takes several seconds to measure the distance on 150 yd and beyond. Now, it doesn't measure beyond 150 yd or longer. Moreover, scanning the multiple targets does not work, either. Very disappointed.

Nutech
I have one in my vacation house, but I bought a second one for my primary use in March 2021 and it is a complete waste of space and money. It never locks onto any flags at my local golf courses which of course the only job it is supposed to do. I had to resort to using objects near the green, so I can now say that the NuTech is not worth the money anymore as quality appears to have dropped considerably.

Super deal on excellent golf range finder
I bought this product to enhance my golf game and to take the guess out of estimating distance to the flag. It was a sale item when I bought it and it definitely out performs similar items in its price point. It is light, accurate, optically adjustable, and versatile. My golf instructor was also impressed with its features for the price and took down the model and manufacturer. I am looking forward to using it during a group golf outing in two months. I'm fairly certain that the Nutech range finder will gain new converts. Hopefully I can emulate its performance with an improved golf game.
