Durable, good quality.
A very nice quality chefs coat! I actually use it for woodworking and the sawdust brushes right off.Only downside is that I though it was long sleeves with a roll up clasp. It's just elbow length but still good quality.

Heavy
I use this coat for show more than on the line. As an executive chef I can tell you this coat is not practical for a busy night of service. It is great for meeting clients or having publicity shots taken or being on TV. My local embroidery shop had no issues with the embroidery.

Oh the snaps... Sigh
6'1" male 185lbs.I'm a somewhat slim guy just so you all have a reference. This jacket has pros and cons.Pros:It's got style! I love the look of the dark denim with the accent on the sleeves. The denim is lightweight. Don't get me wrong this is a heavier jacket then a typical cotton/polyester one so its a bit warmer but it's cooler then I thought it would be.The vented sides are excellent! The materials seem to be high quality.Cons:The jacket is roomier in the chest and back than I like. I got a large... Maybe I should have gone with a medium. Like I said I'm a slim guy. This may be a good thing for heavier chefs.Arm holes are cut a bit too low. Seems like it should be a non-issue but it bugged me so I included it. The problem is that when reaching for high up items. The whole jacket moves up (bunching at the shoulder ( with the reach.I'd like an apron snap. Something on the neck to keep the apron strap from riding up over the collar onto my neck. Not a deal breaker... But bells and whistles are what would cause me to spend 2x on a jacketThe snaps. Last but really should be first. The snaps on this jacket are terrible. They do not have the strength to hold up to normal everyday movements.. in a busy kitchen they come undone all the time. I think I will be sticking with buttons or zippers from now on. For This sole reason this jacket is not for me.Witha few minor improvements this could be a great jacket.Overall. A decent jacket for FOH. But I can not recommend for anyone in the kitchen

Cool looking, not very functional
Dear chefs and line-cooks:I bought these because 100% cotton chef uniforms are hard to find and these look really cool. However, the side vents are not made of cotton, nor is the cheap liner they use when manufacturing. This cheap garbage liner that falls off in pieces in the washing machine. And the snaps, not buttons, are some of the worst I've ever used. My newborn son's onesies have stronger snaps, and that's not even an exaggeration. My shirt comes unsnapped all day while I'm cooking. If I didn't love my job as much as I do, I'd be much more frustrated with this purchase. Also, this is not a long sleeve shirt! It is a half sleeve, meant to look cool when you roll them up. In my opinion, these shirts are pure costume and completely non-functional as a professional product. I'm gonna try my luck with a similar product made by a more well-known company, which has a zipper instead of garbage snaps. Hope this helps.
