Cute book but arrived stained
My prek students love watching this book on Vooks and asked me to get the actual book. I ordered it new but it arrived stained and clearly used. Disappointed by the quality, but it is a cute book for young kids

A favorite of my niece
You have to put some effort into "reading" this for story time because the only word in it is "ball" lol (it's from the dog's perspective so the story is told by the pictures - but this also means very young toddlers can take their turn "reading" it back to you, too.)My niece *loves* this book so much that it's one she is still holding onto at 7 and 1/2 and on sick days or sad days still pulls it out for someone to "read" to her. ❤ The illustrations are high energy, very detailed and funny. Highly recommend.

Cute
This is a cute story about a dog searching for someone to place ball with him. It's a picture book mostly, so not many words except "ball". The drawings were simple but clear. The dog is cartoonist but nicely drawn. The dream sequence was a little different compared to the rest of the story flow, but I was viewing it on the small screen, so I had a hard time getting into the details. I think a lot of kids will recognize the dog's plight from their own pets.

Super cute and fun book
I saw this book in the store and wanted to get it for my toddler son (age 23 months) who LOVES dogs. There's only one word in the entire book - "ball" - but my son absolutely loves it. I make up the story as we go along, describing what is happening in the pictures. He requests it almost every night for story time before bed. It's a really cute story, and the illustrations are great. Would also be good for an older child with an active imagination, who can tell what's happening on each page.

Cute for a toddler who loves balls
This was a second birthday gift, but the recipient's mom said it was a huge hit. This book is now the preferred bedtime "story" and since it's just the one word - the child can "read" it! I looked at it before giving - the drawings are really cute.

Cute book, pictures tell a great story
This is a cute book, though it gets old fast. It has one word--ball. To keep it from becoming annoying we read this in different languages every time. Great book for budding readers or toddlers enjoying picture books. Reading it in different languages had allowed us to keep this book fun and interesting even as it son grows up.

Ball
Our last name is Ball, so my kids love this book!!!! My younger two like that they’re able to read it so much that we got their sister a copy for them to take to their dad’s house so that they can read to her!

Cute and Entertaining, but expensive
Picked this book up for my nephew who is just about 2 years old. His favourite toys are balls and is often jealous of the dog because it always takes the ball, so this is the perfect book for him. The illustrations are great, and if you've ever owned a ball crazy dog this'll make you laugh. Due to his age, my nephew was very happy that he knew what the word was on each page, as the whole book is just a single word repeated. Because of this I don't recommend this for children learning to read.In regards to my rating, I did find the book to be on the expensive side (at least what I paid for it), thus only receiving a four star review.

Fun to read
The drawings are nice. Considering the book only has one word it is sweet and amusing. My older children enjoyed it as much as the young ones.
