I've made plenty of heavy, multiple tiered cakes, and this is by far the sturdiest, most reliable drum I have ever used. I always bought my cake drums from bakery supply stores or craft scores and this drum is way more durable than any I have purchased before. If you have a heavy or tiered cake, I highly recommend this drum!
