The KoiMedic is easy to use and has been designed to measure the salt concentration in ponds and tanks. Common salt, sodium chloride (NcCl) is commonly used in the healthcare and maintenance of fish, especially koi carp. The KoiMedic tester is a pocket-sized instrument that measures in either percentages (%) or in parts-per thousand (ppt) at the press of a button. The unit incorporates an automatic temperature compensation and an auto power off facility. Each pocket-sized tester is powered by 4 x LR44 button cell batteries with a life expectancy of 300 hours.
