JR Products12045 Red Illuminated On-Off Switch

Love this switch! I accidentally left my outside LED awning lights on while camping this past summer. It drained my battery quite a bit running them all night long. The switches are visible from the bed in the trailer, and now with this illuminated switch I can see when they are on without sticking my head outside the door. There was already a ground (white wire) close by that I tapped into to power this light. It functions and looks just like the solid switch in the same panel. Removing the old light was difficult as they snap in very tightly. You do need to have the housing for this switch to snap into first, it does not come with one in the package. If you have these style switches installed already, this is a fantastic upgrade.

These work great, but be aware that they have three lugs, not two like shown.Your old unlighted switch will have two. The power loops through the switch. But the third lug is for a ground to make the switch light up. This may or not be easy. On my RV I don't have access to the inside of the wall. Other switches nearby with dimmers have a ground and so the plan is to use a 'PosiTap' and share that ground.Like everyone else, I can accidentally leave on outside lights or the water heater run because the switch is easy to overlook. Hopefully, these will solve that.

Good switch, looks exactly the same as the HW switch I took out. HOWEVER, beware that the little wiring diagram on the package is wrong - It did not work when I hooked it up like that, they have the power and ground reversed! On my old switch, the lug for ground was a different color (brass vs. aluminum) Turns out that is the case for this one too!. So ground goes to the single brass lug, load to the center (aluminum) one and source/power to the other (aluminum) one. Hope this saves someone the 30 minutes of aggravation I endured :)

I installed five of these for all of my outside lights. I have a porch light, three scare lights and compartment lights that I would leave on from time to time. Now these glow red when any of the lights are turned on. Please note that the two terminals colored the same are for the power and load. The one terminal of a different color is the ground. You must have access to a ground wire where you are installing the switch or the LED will not light.

This is an excellent switch. It works like a champ, Red glow comes on when switch is on. I hope it last a long time. It seems to be built fairly strong. I can recommend this switch easily. The instruction are pretty good, but I have some electrical experience. Fit perfectly on the hot water heater power circuit on our Airstream. We use it to indicate when the hot water heater is on. It should have came from the factory this way. Its a good switch. Thanks amazon for stocking these parts.Thanks !

They match the factory switches in my 2002 lance camper.

Used this to change a switch in my Lance camper over to lighted when on. Worked great, just pulled out the old switch and put this one in...exact match.

Ordered 2 to replace the standard brown JR switches for the water pump in my Tiffin so I would know when the pump is on...especially when there is no water in tank...switch in Tiffin is in bad location...easy to bump and turn on and you cannot hear pump inside. Switch worked to turn pump on and off but neither would light when on.
