Does what it says on this tin quite well.
I ordered this press after my last one tipped over, fell off the counter and shattered. As I write this I am currently sipping the last cup of my freshly brewed coffee and will break this review down into four parts. This review will be quite lengthy and if you don't want to read it, my headline can serve as a TL;DR. I will first talk about the packaging, then asthetics of it, followed by function of the device, and finish up with my complaints. Throughout this review I will be comparing this press to my previous one which I paid about $35 for.Packaging: The package was delivered by the USPS. It was a plain brown package with a very large sticker over most of the box with the company's logo, a UPC for the product, and a list of the contents with shipping label slapped over part of the company sticker. The box is plain, brown, and thin, but by design the box has two or three layers of the thin corrugated cardboard everywhere but the top and bottom of the box. The thickness and sturdiness of the box feel very sufficient when combined with the fact that inside the press is wrapped in bubble wrap, then put in a bubble wrap bag, and finally held in place (along with everything else save a business card and a paper insert) with a large piece of tight-fitting cardboard. It is very clear that the company takes great care in making sure that your package gets to you unharmed, and kudos to Kitchen Supreme for that.Asthetics: This press looks very nice. The stainless steel compliments the glass, plastic, and even goes very well with the black color of the coffee that it will be filled with. The entire press is all glass and stainless steel except for the lid and the handle. I was very surprised that the knob on top is not plastic, but steel and screws onto the top of the shaft. My last press the knob was plastic and just pulled off, so that is a very big improvement. Everything is black and silver except for the inside of the lid which is white. Overall, I really like how this press looks, and the company logo goes well on the carafe because it isn't too large or intrusive.Function: This press functions quite well. The spring holds the screen very tightly to the walls of the carafe, ensuring no grounds are going to get into your mug under standard use. The reason I say under standard use is because if you put the lid on and pull the plunger as far up as possible, it go up higher than the pour spout, but if you're using it properly the plunger will be pushed all the way down before you pour. The entire device comes apart for easy cleaning. The shaft unscrews from the plunger, which allows you to pull off the spring and screen for seperate and thorough cleaning of all three. The knob even screws off so you can wash that and pull the lid off the shaft. The carafe slides out of the frame and there is even a screw in the handle that I speculate lets your pull off the handle for replacement or washing. The screen is very fine and the edges of it fit higher up on the spring than my last press. The edge of the screen where it is folded over is also very neatly done; it is folded tigher and is less sharp on the edges than my last press. When running my finger along the edge of the screen where it was cut into a circular shape, my finger recieved a few little pricks from a few random strands of the metal, but it was not completely sliced open like my old press, so this will be much easier and safer to wash. On my old press the screen was folded much more loosely, which allowed grounds to get into that fold and then they were nigh impossible to get out. One way that my old press was superior to this one is that where the center of the screen is just cut with this one my previous press had a small metal ring in the center. It is safe to say that it is possible for the center of the screen to slowly unravel and degrade to the point where it is quite loose and will move about on the main steel shaft, but they also send you three replacement screens so it is really a moot point. Overall this press is vastly superior in function to my previous press which, as I mentioned, was more expensive.Complaints: Now we get to the section where I talk about all the nitpicky little things that bother me about this press. There is only one real complaint about this device in here, and it is the reason this got four stars instead of five. This press pours very slowly. When you put the top on, press the plunger down, and begin pouring, the lid is in the way. My old press had a section of the rim on the lid where it was cut so that you could turn the lid and easily pour without the rim of the lid covering part of the spout; this press does not have that. With that out of the way, all my other complaints are extraordinarily minor. The combined wieght of the steel knob and the tighness of the spring will make the lid pull itself off the press and tip over if you put the lid on and then lift the plunger as far up as possible. The press itself had a few extremely small scratches (one on the carafe and one on the frame) that you would not notice unless you put the device through extremely careful scrutinization. Judging from how minor these scratches are, they are most likely manufacturing defects, not the fault of Kitchen Supreme. These defects are so minor that they are hardly noticable and do not impact the function of the device in any way. The final two tiny nitpicks are that in the insert that is included in the package, it mentions putting all three (the package comes with four) screens on at once, and the fact that the press shipped with two screens already on the device. The screen is so fine and the spring holds it so tight against the walls of the carafe that there is absolutely no reason to use more than one at once and this seems like a ploy to get you to use screens faster. Obviously this is just a tiny nitpick because nothing is forcing me to use more than one screen at a time, and I am actually extremely pleased that this package came with four screens. Overall, the only real complaint is still a very minor problem. In conclusion, this device is amazing. The packaging was more than adequite to get it to me safely, it was cheaper than my old press while still outperforming it at almost every turn, it looks very nice, and the only problems with this press were very minor. Honestly, this would have gotten five stars from me if not for the lid hanging over part of the spout hindering the speed at which you can pour your coffee. I would very highly recommend this for anyone who likes coffee or loose leaf tea. It is cheap enough to purchase as a first press if you want to try french press coffee, and it is of high enough quality that you can satisfy the desires of someone who has been drinking coffee from a press all their life. If you are still reading this, I would like to thank you for your time and hope that my review was helpful to you.

Silky smooth cup of coffee and elegant design!
OVERALL: Highly recommended!I've been using the Kitchen Supreme French Press daily now for about a month and really like it. Rather than using my Cuisinart "Grind 'n Brew" automatic drip coffee maker for when I'm only making coffee for myself, I've switched over to the French Press. I have yet to find any coffee grounds in my poured cup of coffee. The four screens that come with the bundle work wonderfully, keeping coffee grounds out of poured coffee. I have been pre-heating the glass press carafe with hot water (from the faucet) as I read that it helps retain some heat in the carafe and I wanted to minimize the risk of breaking the glass when adding in hot water. However, even when not pre-heated, the glass press carafe still keeps coffee hot during the 4 minute brew time and the glass carafe seems as though it will tolerate hot water even when starting at room temperature (i.e. no preheating). I also love the fact that I can place everything in the dishwasher (no hot temp dry) and then wipe it down immediately so as to avoid moisture staying on the stainless steel. Even stainless will rust if not kept dry, so it's important to dry everything well after cleaning.Accessories: I hadn't really thought of what to do with the coffee grounds on the bottom of the press. With my coffee maker's filters, I'm able to compost or dispose of the grounds easily. With a french press, you need to pour the grounds out of the glass carafe, and you need something to catch them so that they don't go down the drain (which can clog the garbage disposal). I did have a mesh strainer, but found that my grounds went straight through the strainer, so I purchased a separate fine mesh strainer (8" wide) and that seems to work wonderfully, particularly when using 8 Tablespoons of coffee grounds to make a full carafe.I also opted to purchase an electric water kettle, which to my surprise boiled water extremely fast! What I like about this electric kettle is that is far more efficient than boiling water on the stove and seems to do so much more quickly. Also, the fact that it has a digital temperature display is very helpful, as I know exactly what temperature water I am using for my coffee. Here's a link to what I purchased: Chefman Cordless Electric Kettle, Stainless Steel Premium Grade Carafe Style w/ Digital Temp Display, Heat Retaining Vacuum Seal, Auto Shut Off & Boil Dry Protection, 7+ Cup 1.7L/1.8qt. - RJ11-17-DV My main "complaints" so to speak is that the coffee must be poured out of the french press immediately after brewing. If you let the coffee sit in the carafe, such as brewing two mugs of coffee and then enjoying your first cup while the second stays in the carafe, the coffee will spoil. It becomes very bitter as it still remains in contact with the coffee grounds. This is more an observation that would apply to any french press and not just this product. However, with the marketing photos for this product showing people enjoying one cup of coffee with more awaiting in the carafe, this is very misleading as it suggests this would be an appropriate coffee experience (drink some now, refill as needed). This is not the case at all. So if you plan on brewing a full carafe it may be good to be prepared to pour it into a separate heat-retaining / insulated carafe. This was mentioned in some of the asked/answered questions. Also, the directions indicate that you need to stir the coffee grounds with after pouring hot water into the carafe. A wooden spoon is recommended. The metal teaspoon is not recommended, as metal can break the glass. While the plastic measuring spoon may be an option (as it is used in the video tutorial at the Kitchen Supreme website ... which pulls from YouTube https://youtu.be/5vB1ttpRiwI), I don't like using plastic in my food to begin with, so this is not ideal, particularly with hot products. Not knowing how hot the water in the tutorial video was, I was also concerned that the hot water might melt the thin plastic spoon, but as I have no intention of using the spoon anyway, I gave it a try using freshly boiled water at 210 degrees F. The spoon did not melt, so it appears it will withstand use as a stirrer if necessary.Suggestions: The plastic coffee measuring spoon is not very helpful. The promo materials talk about how the lid is "PLASTIC FREE" but yet a plastic spoon is included. Why plastic? This is bad for the environment. Many people prefer to go plastic-free. Most users have a tablespoon they can use to measure beans/grounds anyway, so the cheap plastic spoon adds very little value and from my perspective actually reduces the value of the product. I don't want to purchase needless plastic. The airtight coffee canister I purchased came with a stainless steel measuring spoon, which I like much better and actually use every day. Deluxe Airtight Coffee Storage Container with Free Scoop and eBook - 12.5oz Beans or 16 oz Ground Coffee Canister - Premium Quality Stainless Steel Vault Along these lines, the mini metal bent teaspoon that can hang over a cup also seems rather useless. Most people use their spoons and then place them on the table/saucer rather than trying to drink while balancing a spoon on the edge of the cup. Perhaps eliminating the teaspoon and plastic tablespoon and instead substituting a stainless steel tablespoon would be an option? Even better may be a wooden spoon, which could be used both to measure coffee AND to stir once in the carafe!

It's good. Broke after 7 months
Edit: this coffee maker was great until today 31st, July 2020. It cracked while cleaning it with soap and water. Huge crack down the glass. Lasted 7 months though. Was making coffee and the glass cracked. I am really disappointed. Lasted for 7 months though. Was rinsing it in Kyle warm water and it completely cracked. Was a Christmas gift for my husband and he loves it! He wasn't a fan of the coffee maker which we lost due to unforeseen circumstances so for Christmas I bought him this fancy coffee press. He was over the moon about it. It arrived late but it was worth the wait. I loved the instructions on how to use the coffee press as I have never used one before. I don't drink coffee but I love making it out of the coffee press. The press looks beautiful and sleek. I love the tempered glass.

Makes a good cup of coffee
So far this French press has been really good . Easy to use , works well with medium coarse grind so far , with one cup to two cups of 180ml each for my usual morning coffee. Looking forward to exploring more with the other brew ideas given in the little booklet
