Cute purse raincoat
I got tired of trying to wait out rain before running to/from the car because I didn't want to damage my expensive handbags, so I decided to finally break down & buy a raincoat for my purse. This one is large enough to fit my Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM & my Nena CDB (both pictured), it has 3 vinyl Velcro straps on the top so that you could loop them through the handles/openings of your purse; however, I wish that the straps had additional Velcro "receptors" (at varying lengths) so that you could adjust the length of the straps/opening at the top based upon the size of the purse (I noticed the straps were too long for my LV & almost a little short for my Nena).Obviously this won't protect the leather handles/straps on your purse, but it would at least help shield water damage from the rest of your handbag, true test will be using it in the rain (haven't had rain to try it yet, but I'll be sure to update my review if it turns out to be an epic fail). The material is thick (which is probably good for protecting the purse) & has a little bit of weight to it when folded up, so I think this is going to be a bit bulky to carry around in your purse. You could reuse the package it comes in to carry it around in your purse but the package is going to take up even more room because it's so big, so for now I just rolled it up & put a hairband around it to contain it while in my purse (added picture of it rolled up next to standard size pop can for reference). I may look for a water-proof lined small makeup bag to contain it in while in my purse (that way I can fold it away temporarily when I get to my destination without getting the inside of my purse wet & then I can air it out later to dry once I get home).
