1. What could we do when our knives or tools are dull or even chipped? 2. Don't worry,Symbom sharpening stones can help you solve this problems. #1000 Grit Side: This grit is a good overall grit. It is fine enough for many jobs and still have enough abrasive properties to do sharpen knives and tools that are not very dull. If you keep your knives and tools in good shape, you'll find yourself reaching for this grit level often. This grit is also very common for the final stage for many kitchen knives. #6000 Grit Side: This fine grit is able to put an edge on a tool or knife that exceeds just about any commercial edge you'll find. This grit is very fine and sharpen very slowly. This is to be used after you've created an edge with more coarse grits. Instructions to use: 1.Soak the sharpening stone with water for 5 minutes, then put it on a steady surface such as a table. 2. First use the #1000 grit side for coarse grinding in 10~30 degree angle, push the knife out with a little force, and then gently retracted. This process takes about 10 minutes. 3. Then use the #6000 grit side for fine grinding. This process takes about 8 minutes. 4. After sharpening the knife, clean the knife with wet cloth or water, then dry it. 5. Use a soft brush to clean the sharpening stone, then placed in a ventilated place to air dry. Attention: -- DO NOT only use the middle of the sharpening stone, please make full use of the surface of the whetstone. -- DO NOT use the whetstone to sharpen serrated blades such as steak knife and ceramic knife. Great Whetstone
I've got some nice kitchen knives at home and I with them I got a sharpener and whilst this has been great it's set at a particular angle (it's a pull through one) and not suitable for all blade types.I've recently bought a couple of multitool knives and one in particular came quite blunt. I've also got some blunt knives in the kitchen which I've stopped using because I've not wanted to put them through the sharpener provided with the expensive knifes.I've seen a number of pull through sharpeners which I've thought about buying but my dad's always sworn by a whetstone and whilst I'd never used one, you can't argue with traditions which have lasted for such a long time.I've recently bought a more corse whetstone which has worked great but the blade lacked that final polishing so I bought this one to do that job. When this arrived I soaked it in water before setting to work with my first knife. The stone works brilliantly at polishing the knife after the initial sharpening, and the knife and a couple I've done afterwards are much sharper. With practice I'm sure I'm going to become much better. The stone, being double sided is great as it saves needing 2 seperate ones which saves space. There is also rubber under the base which keeps it from slipping around on the table.I'm glad I bought this whetstone over some of the cheaper pull through ones.

Solid midrange whetstone
It's functional, easy to use, the 6000 grit side will need cleaning so buy this with a cleaning stone. Rubber grip is great not had an issue with it slipping and the stone is ready to use in like 15 minutes so what more do you want
