I don't like to replace things until I have to, and my 15-year-old Brother printer is one of those things. It still works really well, why replace it? I was worried I wasn't going to be able to find toners for it as it's getting older, and a few shops were quoting outrageous prices to me. I can't spend $75 on a toner. Not only was the price on this toner cartridge was incredible low, but it's got great life. I spend some weeks working from quarantine and had to print paperwork in my room rather than on the company printer, and not only did this toner hold up well, I'm still using it a year later. The ink is clear and not faded or smudgy, and the price was definitely right.

I installed this cartridge in an Hl-2140 that had printed approx 600 pages. Previous to this, I had always used Brother cartridges. Each toner cart printed approximately 2000 pages, according to the printer's internal log. Initial pages were gray and dirty, with faint images of old text printed along with the new text. I then cleaned the drum with a soft cotton cloth (old sock, actually), gently stroking in one direction only, lengthwise (do this in a modestly dark place, the drum is light sensitive). I then printed a half-dozen sheets and, thereafter, the ghost text disappeared, the gray tone disappeared, and the pages are now nicely printed. E-Z Ink's tech support was of little use, suggesting things that either were not relevant or I had aleady tried. Summary: Prints well but might require some early intervention (I wondered if this is due to some incompatibilities between the Brother and E-Z Ink toner?)

On four occasions over the last two years, I have purchased the Compatible Toner Cartridge Replacement for Brother TN330 TN360 High Yield from EZ Ink through Amazon. The price is right and delivery is quick. Each time the Compatible Toner Cartridge Replacement was inserted in the printer, it immediately recognized the cartridge was NOT a genuine Brother cartridge, but despite a continuous message of “Low Toner”, the printer worked.However, the last cartridge I ordered only worked for a short period of normal use, and after only making a few copies, the printer stopped working altogether. The error message read, “Toner Life End. Replace Toner Cartridge”.In the product description for this cartridge on Amazon’s website, it states, “All products covered by a 100% satisfaction guarantee and 1 year warranty”. So I wrote to EZ Ink customer service through the Amazon web site, explained the issue and requested a work-around so that I could use this cartridge. Otherwise, I would need them to issue a full refund if I couldn’t get the cartridge to work. The refund would be used to offset the very high cost of a new genuine Brother cartridge.Within a few hours, I heard back from E-Z Ink Customer Care’s Katie, who explained the following: “Brother toner cartridges don't have any microchips installed to communicate with the printer, so the printer has to keep track on its own with an internal counter. Once the toner counter reaches the estimated page yield, it will display a “Toner Low”, "Replace Toner" or “Toner Ended” message unless you reset the toner counter.”She requested I try the following: “Open the front cover of the Brother MFC printer where you can access its toner cartridges. Press the “Clear/Back” button and wait till its screen showed a dialogue “Replace DRUM? 1. Yes 2. No”. Do not type in 1 or 2; Instead, type the following three characters (*00) on the keypad and then it will show the word “accepted”. Close the front cover of your printer, which should now be reset.” Well - It worked great (don’t forget to type in all three characters “*00”)! My cartridge is now functioning fine! Thanks, Katie!

Works as it should. Easy install and fits Good.

Installed with no trouble, but my Brother MFC-7840W says it's out of toner and it won't print. The open cover+Clear+*123 workaround did not work for me. The “Clear/Back” + Replace Drum? + *00 workaround did not help either. We were able to make it work for a little while by unscrewing the plastic fitting on the end of the toner cartridge and moving the gear to the "new toner cartridge" position, but after printing maybe 100 pages the printer says it's out of toner again. We will not buy toner from this company again.

It works perfectly for my super old Brother printer mfc-7340. I'm very happy with the purchase.

I was worried buying a non-brand replacement cartridge but the price of the branded cartridge was beyond my usual threshold of tolerance at $70, so I took a chance with this one. So far it has been working fine, and I was able to print out my research papers with no problem.
