My grown son loves these models. He has a large collection and enjoys putting them together and displaying them in his home.

got this kit as a Christmas present from my girlfriend when it first came out. Loved building it and it's unique. I love how it comes with many gimmicks along with different clear colored parts.

The Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound is a rather interesting kit as it's a "refit" of the normal AGE-2 with a darker color palette and something of a pirate theme that only brings to mind the Crossbone Gundams.As a kit it looks cool enough and that would probably be the deciding factor if you want this. Engineering wise, it's a bit of mess.Let's start with the good stuff first; It's faithful to the original art and designs to a T, it's not the usual Gundam color scheme, the DODS Lance is an impressive weapon, the seam lines are extremely well hidden and the build is fun for the most part and no painting is needed anywhere.Now for the bad. Due to the unique "modular" nature of this kit, the inner frame lacks any real structural integrity. Pieces will fall off whenever you try and pose it, most notably the shoulder parts, skirt armor, and the arms. The legs can fall off during transformation easily. The knee joints of this kit are some of the worst I've seen and this kit can easily fall forward due to the mechanism that is suppose to be keeping it's transformation joint from moving just failing completely. The kit in G-Strider mode isn't all that sturdy and it's a pain to line up the arms/legs/sides skirts so they all connect before something falls off. Also the sliding cockpit chair often gets stuck and is nearly impossible to open.The provided decals are okay. You get stickers, that for the most part just blend into the kit instead of being visible, and dry transfers. The pin strips are stickers and are especially difficult to apply. Hands are the fixed, swapping kind and are pretty good for the most. The beam sabers are okay, but the blades may require a peg trim in order to fit properly into one end of the handles.It is still a cool looking kit though. Only get this if you like the Dark Hound, otherwise this kit may disappoint.

Disclaimer: this is the first Mastergrade I've ever attempted but not my first completed. -pics include current status of the buuld: incomplete-I dunno what to say really, I wanted to like this kit. I loved the unique look and the style, it looks great on my shelf even in it's unfinished state. (Still have decals, panel lining and top coating to do on the arms, wings, weapons, etc.But honestly, I just don't like this kit.The good: the build is solid and sturdy in my display, the plastic is fairly easy to clean up marks with minimal effort, the colorscheme is so my style.The bad: the hip mechanism is.... weird, im assuming this has something to do with its transformation into its flight mode but it's awkward to deal with. While I haven't had any problems with it, it is definitely one of the weakest parts of the kit. Looks easily damaged and when posing it just doesn't feel right.All the joints are a bit loose, do yourself a favor. Assemble each limb but do not assemble the mobile suit until after you've top coated all the joints. Especially the hidden joint in the lower half of the leg. Don't join the calf and thigh sections until after you've top coated both sides of this hidden joint, it is definitely the the second weakest part of the kit right behind the hips.I guess if you're looking for a pirate style, snag it. But I feel like crossbones may have been a better choice for me in this regard.This kit often times just felt like a chore, I even paused building it, built an HG Hazel II AND and MG Wing kit and I still can't get in the mood to work on this one.I realize a lot of my review was subjective and for many I'm sure this kit is fantastic. It just doesn't do it for me. If you're looking for your first Master Grade, skip this one. I had a lot more fun with my MG wing kit which is an older, slightly trickier kit but was way more fun to build in my opinion.

胴と肩を接続するロック武器を持ったら腕が垂れぎみ肩アーマーが重くて腕が垂れぎみなど悪い部分が指摘されてますが全て簡単に対処できます変形は出来なくなりますがダイナミックなポーズはできます胴と肩を接続するロック部分は接着剤で固定関節などポリとプラを接続する所を接着剤で太らせる肩アーマーと腕を接続してアーマーと腕上部に隙間がありますこの隙間をパテで埋めれば重いアーマーで垂れるのを防げますAGE-2もほぼ同じなので対応できると思いますダークハウンド、AGE-2ノーマル共に可変機キットでは本当に素晴らしいです
