This is MY bag!
This bag is awesome! I tried a few different bags in my search for the just-right one. This is it! I didn't really know I wanted an unconstructed bag like this, but now I know I prefer this type. A constructed bag that's stiff -- like a computer bag, for example -- is limiting as to what you can do with it. This bag can be stuffed to the gills and do fine (if it isn't too heavy to carry!), or you can just have a few things in there and the bag snuggles around it all and takes up less room. I'm sure this will be perfect for my personal carry-on bag on my next flight. I can imagine it going under the seat very easily. The bag seems heavy-duty without being stiff and bulky. The shoulder strap pad is very nice; I'm really glad the pad was included. The zippers work fine. The array of pockets seems just right for me. I like it that there is a zipper on an inside pocket, plus a zipper the full length of the main compartment. There is also a portfolio type pocket on the back of the bag, which will work perfectly for me to carry the documents needed when going through security, checking in, etc. I like to wear the bag across the body, with that back pocket up against me. It's easy to reach but not obvious to other people. The two pockets on the outside of the front side only close with velcro, which seems unsecure, but the flap closes over the whole front of the bag and velcros together at the bottom of the front side, thus covering those pockets. I think it would be very unlikely that anything would fall out unless you really tried shake it out. I wouldn't carry loose diamond rings in those pockets, but for most things I think you could feel at ease about them. They're actually great places to put things like cables, charging plus, possibly small photography items, etc. When I first opened the package I thought this bag is way bigger than I wanted. The way it was mashed flat for shipping sort of stretched its profile out in length. But I realize when I started handling it, it sort of adjusted to whatever I wanted to put in it. If you happen to be looking for a smaller bag, say something to carry your iPad, it would be overkill. The bag easily holds my 15" laptop. There is no padding, in either sides or the bottom, so that should be considered when you carry a laptop. A sleeve for the laptop or some other self-created padding inside would take care of that, I would think. I carry my laptop in the bag without any padding, but I keep that in mind when I sit the bag down. The color is pretty much an army green, which is okay with me. At least it's not just one more black bag. By the way, because this bag is not constructed, it should be easy to clean without worry about washing out the stiffening that some fabrics have in them. In fact, I don't know why you couldn't toss the bag in the washing machine.I do like this bag and would recommend it if you're looking for something very versatile and accommodating.

VERY GOOD... NOT GREAT
Not a GREAT bag, by any means, but Very Good! The quality of the build is nice, and it's a very sturdy canvas. Light weight. Easy to clean (could probably even toss in the laundry). There is a lack of significant padding in the laptop compartment. It is padded to the interior side, but not to the back of the bag or bottom. They got the pockets RIGHT!!! The pen sleeves and similar pockets are on the INSIDE, not just hidden under the flap. This means they won't fall out easily. I also like the idea that the bag zips shut. Not just covering the opening withi the flap like most messenger bags do. If it rains, you stuff will stay drier. On that note, buy a can of water repellant and treat this before using! The type of canvas will repel some moisture, but will be truely waterproof after treatment. The handle on the top is useless once anything (and I do mena ANYTHING) is placed in the bag. The way the flap is constructed usign the handle pulls up on the outer layer of the flap (its two layers but only sewn together around the edges). this causes the entire bag to "bunch up". While I will definitely use this as an occasional replacement for my 5.11 LIMA, for carrying my laptopt and other daily items, it will only be in intances where a less tactial appearance is mandated. It will however get a lot of use as a soft side range bag. OVERALL it's Very GOOD... Not GREAT!!!!

Not a bad bag. Unfortunately
I bought this for the traveling and class. I have been using this bag during the past 3 weeks almost everywhere I go. I mostly bought this specific bag for the generous bottle holders on each end. Coffee mug/water bottles have no problems snuggling in! Inside, there are many pocket options with a key latch as well. Generous room for a laptop and more. It kept me organized throughout the day. Not a bad bag.Unfortunately, after only a few weeks of use the side button ripped from the bag. Not a huge deal. Still functioned.Next day at the airport- zipper broke completely off while. It's disappointing because now I don't see myself using this bag as my go-to if I want my things secured inside. Now I can only see using it as a gym bag. Bummer. If there is a way to have this fixed please let me know.Another con I have with this bag is the obnoxious Velcro noise each time you go into the bag. A plus to this feature is knowing if somebody is trying to pick-pocket you...I think of it as having my one security alarm on my bag ;)Overall, I give this bag 3 stars for it's affordability and quality.

Good bag - largest we could find
Really like this bag. My son used it for school, but he has to tote such heavy books that this bag didn't last past four weeks. Keep in mind, that my teenager was putting three school books and three binders in it at a time ( well over 50 pounds) so the metal holding the shoulder strap bent open. My husband had to use pliers and other tools to fix it (he said it really took a lot to bend it so it wasn't due to the bag being poorly made, but it just wasn't made for what we tried to use it for). So I would recommend it for someone as a weekend bag or office paperwork.

perfect travelling messenger bag!
I was looking for a messenger bag i could use on my trip oversea and couldn't find anything, until i found this one. it's large but not heavy, have a zipper ( to prevent sneaky hands to steal your stuff... ) have enough pocket yet not too many to make it complicated to sort your things. it has a paddded division so you can bring your laptop if you like. I also love the back i could use it as a crossbody bag, which release pressure on your shoulders. And it's solid! As usual i put too much stuff in it and was afraid it might break but no, not at all, it's sturdy! this is now my travelling bag, the one i will bring on all my roadtrip. Highly reccommended.
