like fits an actual adult sized
I just got done putting my scooter together, so this is more of a first impressions than an actual long term review. Due to inventory problems, I ended up with the red version, but am posting here to take advantage of the "verified purchase" status. With all that out of the way, there are a few things to note about this scoot. One, it's big, like fits an actual adult sized, which is awesome, but I wouldn't recommend this for the kiddies. Two, the instruction manual is basic, with a lot of "see fig 4", where "fig 4" is a grainy postage stamp sized black and white photo. On the flip side, the assembly is dead simple enough that instructions are borderline unnecessary. The main reason I dinged this a star is that the toolkit was either incomplete or out of date, as there were both tools I didn't need and fasteners I didn't have tools for.About the only build quality issue I can call out is the borderline useless headlight mount. A double bracket would have been much better than the flimsy single sided one the scoot comes with. Also, I about fell over laughing when I saw the charger cable, which is clearly a reused XLR plug. I have no idea why that amuses me as much as it does. I wonder if I can power my mic off the scooter?

A powerful well designed electric scooter
This 1500 watt 48 volt Hyper-Racing Electric Scooter is a cut above any other electric scooter. It is full size having a larger frame than other electric scooter offering a welcome design for adult riders. The 1500 Watt Motor will propel the scooter close to 35 mph on a paved road and 25 mph on non-paved roads and hard surfaced flat trails. Our use is generally at a speed of 15-20 mph on gravel roads, trails or ATV trails in a rural setting. The seat is very comfortable and the lights work well enough for an after-dark run. The shocks and larger 12β rim off-road tires (actually 15-16 inches in diameter) are terrific on non-paved surfaces offering a very soft ride compared to scooters with small tires like the Uber Scoot (we have both and both are nice). The kids ride the Uber Scoot for its smaller size and apparently they do not mind bumpier off-road rides where your teeth chatter. Despite being larger and heavier than the Uber Scoot the Hyper-Racing Scooter easily keeps up with its 1600 watt cousin. An overlooked surprise is the lack of noise while riding β what a welcome that is! We often approach deer and foxes as they are caught unaware of presence. Where daytime riding is very enjoyable there is nothing like a quiet night time ride through the woods. The first scooter was easy to assemble and completed in 30 minutes (and the other 3 completed in just 20 minutes). Hypertoyz packed it very well, it arrived intact, and no parts were damaged or broken. And their Personnel were informative and answered many questions I had in a very timely manner. Admittedly, I did have some very frustrating electrical issues sooner than I expected and they took some time to address. But the scooters are very easy to work on and it was worth the wait to get the kinks out as these are just superb scooters for our off-road use and I feel they deserve a 5 star review for their performance.Where electric scooters start fast and work very well they are not designed to handle extreme operation as a dirt bike (steep hills, soft surfaces, multi-start & stop, etc.). However, extended riding on non-paved surfaces with gentle hills is very enjoyable. Not having to crank a gas-powered motor to get it started is a real plus when you just want to get up and go. And when you do get up and go there are no gas fumes choking the riders behind you. We have pretty much replaced our gas-powered Yamaha QT-50βs and Yamaha Riva Razz scooters as our riders now prefer the quiet electric scooters. In summary, these are simply magnificent scooters that deliver everything one could want in an electric scooter and without any reservation I recommend them.
