By easy writing showing how important Amino Acid is for our daily health and well-being.
In the book we read that in the nutrients which we daily need to get through our eating and drinking we there have proteins, carbohydrates, fats & oil, minerals, vitamins, and water. And when it comes to the optimal nutrition, on around 40 essential nutrients, among these amino acids, and essential fatty acids, and that actually the proteins already consist of much amino acid. And besides, in reality we now a day, opposite until 100 years ago, need to get more of these nutrients beside what’s in the food. This because we in the western food gets less nutrients than earlier, and we beside daily are in contact many things, which from a natural point of view not are natural made. This can be in exhaust from cars or in plastic equipment containing unhealthy chemicals or metals. And this actually grabs the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids which we have in the body, and we therefore are missing much of what needed for the body to function optimal. We learn that it now is stated that the body needs 22 amino acids, 12 which are made in the body, and 10 which we only can get from outside, and these therefore are called essential. We get a list with the name of all of them, but during the book some of these names we get again, in connecting to the functions in which they are needed. We read how these amino acid that maybe are missing and thereby have resulted in, or increased, problems as among other: anxiety, apathy, depression, detoxification, emotional eating, sleep, stress, and wound healing. For example, concerning sleeping we get 4 sides on which we among other learn that here the amino acid tryptophan is involved as being the precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin, which is the precursor to melatonin, which is the regulator that promotes deep prolonged sleep.Concerning the emotional and physical pain we read that body’s natural pain reducing chemicals called endorphins, as its precursor needs 15 of the amino acids to synthesize them. So thereby the complete blend with the 22 amino acids obvious is an easy thing to try if having pain. In the book we in many connections read about the complete blend, where the complete blend is on 2,350 mg, taken 1 to 4 times a day, this depending on the cases.Concerning wound healing we learn that factors as Alzheimer’s, arthritis, diabetes, smoking, stress and much more, make the wound healing take time, but that the nutrition influences the healing being faster. And that in the nutrition it especially is the amino acids glutamine and arginine that work during the healing; the arginine by the cells signaling being up to date.We read that the amino acid taurine can be critical in the prevention of seizures, behavioral disorder, and relive pain, as studies have shown that the taurine provides aid in the nerve connect, and thereby getting the clear communication between the body and the brain. And because amino acids are precursors to more than 50 neurotransmitters in the brain and nervous system. But to me it especially was interesting to read about stress, because I here for the first time, in my many books, learned that to high levels of stress can result in up to a 60 % increase in burning all available micronutrients in the body within a 24-hour period; so thereby missing if only getting the normal amount. When I caused by stress visited doctors, I never heard a word about this, but was told it was epilepsy, even though I newer in the previous 55 years of my life had epilepsy, and was put on bad drugs for this. But now I have found the connection to my seizures, which started ¾ of a year after first time visiting a doctor for what I to him called stress. Next time I will inform the doctor about this important point, the 60 % increase in needing.I always like to get some chemical and/or molecule drawings concerning the processes which I read about, but this is missing in the book. It’s a helpful book, by which we learn that if we have nearly any kind of a common health problem, then the reason can be that we are missing one or more amino acids. And besides actually Linus Pauling wrote about how much amino acid are used in the DNA, and that some cancers are caused by failures in the DNA. So it’s an easy way in maybe being cured, and without side problems, concerning many problems by starting taking a complete blend of the 22 amino acids.

I 100% regret this purchase...
I genuinely have no idea how this book received multiple five-star ratings. There is very little useful information on amino acids here. I first became interested in amino acid therapy after seeing "The Medicated Child" and, as psychology student, being incredibly concerned about the lack of longitudinal studies as to what these megadoses of serious psychiatric medications might be doing developmentally to these quite young children. I tried researching alternative treatment methods and came across some studies on a supplement consisting of high doses of vitamins/amino acids tailored to the specific needs of the individuals with promising results. Since then, I've tried to find some less expensive, highly-praised reference materials to keep at the ready and boost my knowledge. This was not it. If you don't know what amino acids are, or the underlying causes of some psychological conditions and how a holistic approach could help alleviate some symptoms, this will be great at glossing over some broad concepts. It won't go so far as to tell you how to actually effectively use amino acids to help yourself or others, though. There is VERY little specific dosing information here, and also very few quite relevant warnings about how certain amino acids which are mentioned can actually exacerbate some of these conditions. Honestly, this was worthless to me and a waste of money. I got nothing useful from this book. "Amino Acids in Therapy: A Guide to the Therapeutic Application of Protein Constituents" is far more comprehensive and informative. Again, if you lack any basic knowledge on wellness, psychological conditions, holistic medicine, and amino acid therapy, you might in fact take away the idea that amino acid therapy could be useful from this book, but it has no new information for anyone with even a basic foundation in those areas.

Don't waste your money or your time.
Useless, uninformative and a waste of money. If you want to learn about amino acids and how they relate to your symptoms, you won't do that here. He says that you should take them all, and your body will pick the one it needs, so there is no point in understanding anything about the different aminos, or how they might affect you.The book is one big infomercial for a product this man sells. I wish I had paid more attention to who it was that wrote all those glowing reviews. I wonder what he paid for them.

Sorry to say I was/am totally disappointed, includes basic information about amino acids only
Sorry to say I was/am totally disappointed, not enough information, the information it does contain is mostly basic, a more informative and a more comprehensive presentation of amino acids should really be considered, cannot recommend this book, sorry!

I was very disappointed in this book
I was very disappointed in this book. “Dr Dan” does not address each individual amino acid which I was hoping to read more about. The book is also misleading in the fact that it spends a lot of the time talking about general nutrition and ailments that most people already know about. If you are looking for an in depth book on Amino Acids as I were, then this book is not for you.
