I purchased this to use as a final step in finishing classical guitars with French Polish. It works remarkably well and can further be used to clean guitar finishes. I used it on both laquer finished and French Polish finished guitars and it works great!

I ordered this after seeing that Schecter Guitars suggested it as a cleaner for multiple finishes on their guitars. I was not happy with the Dunlop products and gave this a try.I am also an auto enthusiast and know the rich history of Barry Meguiar's products so I knew this would serve me well for the car also.This removes smudges and some minor defects in gloss guitar tops and provides a nice and smooth layer of shine and protection which shoes off the quilt and tiget stripe tops of guitars. I apllied it to a small microfiber towel and used it the same way I would on a car hood and it works really well and is unabrasive.Like most Meguiars products, it is easy to remove the product from steel, aluminum and plastic ifmeeded, which helps alot with guitars. I use it on all of my gloss finish guitars and it makes the mahogany and ash woods shine like no other guitar spray. The same is likely for the car also. My car is black and I will try this after a good waxing expecting to see the same results.

There is nothing wrong with the product itself, but the packaging (a soft envelope) was inadequate. The plastic spray bottle broke, most likely during transit, and most of the content spilled out into the envelope.Shipping an item like this in a cardboard box would have probably prevented it.

As a quick detailer, it can be used many ways. You can safely use it to remove residue on all types of surfaces. Rubber and plastics, glass, etc. It works as a great clay bar lubricant, and is really inexpensive. I've been a huge Mequiars fan as long as i can remember. Mequiars products have never let me down! This product is no exception. Of the 15 new vehicles, 3 motorcycles and 3 boats I've had, they always looked better than the day i got them! Although, I've never kept any of them more than 2 years, they have always looked "showroom" new when i did let them go, due to the exclusive use of Mequiars! Be it the clay, detailer, wax or polish, Mequiars is, hands down, the best auto care products available! I just got a new 17 Altima SR, deep blue pearl and it looks and feels sick!
