8 years and still rocking my house down.
I brought this as a gift for a girl. She moved in with me and moved the speakers in with her. She left but the speakers stayed. I've been using them daily with no problems at all - the sound is pretty superb! I have them connected to my amazon echo dot. The downside is the display - it gets buggy and illegible after few years, but you can still figure it out with the remote. These have paid for themselves ten times! I miss the girl, and these are a good memory of her.

Speakers pop & some LED display issues
This is for the AR504LR-BK model.Hooked up the Speakers to my new gaming PC, as I needed new speakers. The old ones were so cumbersome & sound quality was not very good. These new ones are a big improvement to the ones I had previously. Sound quality is clear & crisp. The remote control is also a nice addition, as I can change volume without alt+tabbing out & going into volume settings as my new gaming keyboard doesn't have volume buttons on it.I do have a few complaints, however.I've found the LED light display on the Sub Woofer was a bit off out of the box, had to press it into place a little bit. Also, there's some air bubbles under the display's plastic that I can't get out. Not sure if they'll stay there or not. It doesn't affect audio quality at all but it's just a bit off putting. Possibly an assembly error or something. It's also not under the "Protective Plastic" that was stuck onto it, since I removed that. It's under the actual LED display plastic. Seems like whoever put in the display didn't put it in properly. The display works fine, just the air bubbles & the way it was put in seemed like it wasn't put in all the way & I had to press it down a bit.The cable length for the speakers is also kind of short. I was barely able to make them fit where I wanted them to with the limited length & had to put them in a certain way for the cable to reach where I wanted it to.Also, the LED dancing light display only works when playing music very loudly. Wish it worked with normal audio levels, but that's just a nit picky thing & it doesn't really affect audio quality or anything.Other than those LED display issues & the short cables, these speakers seem like a good quality buy & they are a big upgrade compared to my older speakers & I am enjoying them in my new set up.EDIT after having these for about a year, the speakers now periodically pop. Not worth having anymore.

Really great system for the money.
I'm definitely happy with these speakers. I purchased them after a lot of research into both price and ratings, and so far I'm happy with them.I only purchased these for a set of computer speakers. While it might seem like overkill, they were actually less expensive than computer speakers with less power and options. One requirement that I always have is to have a remote, the other is to have a bass speaker. This not only has both, but both are much better than any other computer speaker I've used. I actually prefer a wired remote (so I can have a headphone plug right on my desk), but that is a personal preference and not a flaw in the system. As long as the remote has a mute button and volume buttons, I'm happy. This has much more, since you can also adjust the bass and treble with it.I like the display on the bass speaker, and the fact you can make changes using buttons there as well as the remote (in case the batteries are dead . . . or the remote). I can't personally attest to the fact that it puts out 70w, as I've not been in a situation to turn it up all the way. However it has more than enough power for me to use at my computer, which is what I was shooting for. You can't ever have too much power, but you can definitely not have enough. :)To sum up, this is a really great system for a really great price. I could even see using this for a bedroom TV or stereo system. It is significantly bigger than most speakers meant for a PC, but it is significantly more powerful than most as well. If you want a ton of bang for the buck, I believe that this is the system to buy.

Good sound system for a good price, but not built to last!
The Arion Legacy AR504LR-BK 2.1 Speaker System is a great speaker system for anyone looking for a budget, but quality sound system for your desk, while there are a great sum of pros, but with pros, there are cons.PROS:-Wireless Remote-Treble and Bass Controls-Multiple Input options-LED Display on Subwoofer-Good sound with quality bassCONS:-After a month's use, the speakers on the woofers will become brittle and the paper will easily crease and/or rip like mine did.-The tweeters are barely noticeable and do not perform the best.-Only one output jack, so splitters are necessary to add more speakers to the woofer.-Subwoofer cannot handle more than 15W speakers.-Subwoofer makes cracking noises when volume is passed about 80%.-Wood on cabinet is not painted black, but is rather a paper material that is already deteriorated on my system.CONCLUSION:These is a great speaker system, but you get what you pay for. The speakers will last you up to a year before you will need to purchase another system. For a desk or office space, these are great. For someone looking for quality sound without chipping noises during low notes, than this system is definitely not for you.
