Same model replacement
This Delta kitchen faucet was the same one I put in 30 years ago. I broke the old one and am going to put in a new kitchen so I ordered a new faucet. Instead of having brass tubing and fittings for my nice flex lines it has long plastic hose lines which are hard to deal with. I am an architect and contractor so I know what I am doing after 50 years. It is made a little cheaper than the old one and the hose line for the pull out faucet is cheaper and has a plastic connection fitting instead of a brass one like the old faucet. Plastic will break. I had a plastic part break 35 years ago on a kitchen faucet and it flooded half of the house. Plastic has no place on any faucet. I have lived with Delta faucets sense the mid 1950's and really like them. There are more expensive ones but not when I started using them. Like all the companies they keep making things cheaper and it is not good. I have a strong engineering back ground and most things are designed wrong and built with poor materials. We would have a lot less breakage and things would last a lot longer if many of the parts were metal and designed better. The world has gone cheap just like society has slid down hill and tossed out morals. Moen and Delta are really good faucets but they are not what they once were.

Great faucet except for the sprayer hose, and the cartridge...
Update 3-9-21. Adding a star, to go from 2 back to 3 owing to Delta customer service. So there's a lifetime warranty on this faucet (which ends if the original purchaser moves, btw). I called Delta customer service and they immediately, without question, sent a replacement cartridge (RP50587) which arrived a few days later. Very easy replacement procedure if you're even sort of handy. Tools needed...1/8" Allen wrench and a pair of channel lock pliers. For the heck of it I also applied a bit of white lithium grease around the upper and lower bushings to make the faucet swing from side to side easier. Total repair took around 20 minsUpdate 3-4-21 (2 years after install). Besides the "kinky" sprayer hose (which we sort of learned to live with), like other negative reviews I had read, we now have to shut the faucet off two or three times to get the water to totally stop flowing. The trick is now finding the "off position sweet spot" or else the water will continue to drip and dribble. This all started about six months ago (1.5 years after install), and now I have to check around for a replacement cartridge for it. It just shouldn't have to be this way for the money spent on this thing!- - - - - - - - -Installed this about 6 mos ago. I'll start by saying that we do like this faucet: Easy to install. Looks great. Good regular flow, and good spray too. The only drawback is that the sprayer hose is -- I'm guessing -- nylon-braided covered rubber that kinks when spraying dishes or during general cleaning of the sink. So don't let the pictures that are posted by the manufacturer fool you...this hose WILL kink and stop the water flow! For $280 bucks (faucet + tax as of Feb 2019), I would expect a metal-braided hose to prevent the kinking!

Repair Under "Lifetime Warranty" Or Replace With New Faucets?
My wife wanted white faucets with an enclosed sprayer when we built our home 19 years ago. We ended up installing four of this particular faucet's predecessor and they have been great performers all this time. The two installed in our kitchen sinks have taken the most abuse and needed to be repaired or replaced. I contacted the Delta customer service department to understand their "lifetime warranty" and they were quite willing to send me whatever parts were needed to put these two faucets back into service. However, I would have needed a plumber to pull the units apart and specify the parts that needed replacing. After ordering the free replacement parts, the plumber would have to come back and again pull out the old units and replace the worn out parts. Given the age and appearance of the old faucets, the lower risk bet appeared to be ordering replacement faucets and having them installed. Delta customer service was helpful in specifying the replacement faucets and Amazon offered availability and a great price. When the plumber pulled out the old units I quickly realized that I had made the correct decision. The old faucets had metal piping and accessories that had rusted through in many places. Over time the lousy water quality had basically rendered them useless. The new faucets fit the holes in the marble counter tops perfectly and the heavy plastic tubes and accessories will be impervious to rust. And of course they also come with a "lifetime warranty". The faucets look great, function perfectly, and pretty well match up with the other two old ones we still have and use. Sometimes it just makes more sense to bite the bullet. I'm glad we did.

Lifetime warranty save me!
I had an older version of this model in our kitchen sink. Always dependable until recently it was difficult to shut off without dripping. After spending $160 for the plumber to install this newer version of this Delta faucet and it has the same problem! If you are not careful in the way you press the handle it does not turn off.Over half the time I do not get the lever right and often come back to the kitchen to see it leaking.I guess it comes down to quality control... made in China. The plumber told me "this is a good faucet".Well the proof is in the performance. Hence my disappointment and low rating.I am considering returning it but the outlay for the plumber will set me back another $160. :(Revised 6-2-2020I contacted Delta and they have a lifetime warranty on these faucets!Without hesitation they immediately sent me a new replacement 'cartridge' with instructions on how to install it.It was an easy install and now the faucet works great.I am happy with the faucet so upped my rating.

Happy so far!
The faucet meets our needs in terms of price, function, and the height was important, so that the window above it can swing above it for cleaning. Delivery was ahead of schedule. Installation was a breeze with no leaks. Not mentioned in the instructions is the inclusion of a plastic tool, which is for removing the aeriator for cleaning. The sprayer works great & there is no issue with water pressure, that was mentioned in other reviews. Can't speak for long term durability, but if the hose or its connections should break, Delta's warranty is top notch. Like the idea of the Diamond Seal cartridge. If you don't like giving the chrome a wipe down, go for the spot resistant finish.

Government regulated no-flow rate
I am able to say that the tap appears to be fine but you get about the same flow as an 80 year old guy with prostate problems. This is regulated by the government of course. I have suddenly learned how the government finds its way into every aspect of our lives but I suppose that we should be happy that we don't get all the government that we pay for.It seems that some bureaucrat somewhere thought we could save the planet by throttling the water flow to every tap in every house in the world. Apparently nobody told that idiot that we don't don't really "use" water, we just borrow it. There is the same quantity here now as there was a billion years ago and there's lots of it. We just haven't learned the 200 year old rule which states "never drink downstream from the herd". Think about it.I don't know if it "saves" water or not. I am certain it causes fits of rage, high blood pressure and perhaps uses more water and causes floods when you go for coffee while waiting for the sink to fill. Not everyone has water pressure of 60 psi. Most have far less. We can buy a car that we can drive at a speed of 120 mph but we normally don't do that. We have a choice. Give us the choice to remove the restriction and get acceptable water flow. Don't worry. We are paying for the water. We won't use too much. As a matter of fact we won't use any more than we ever did.If this type of intervention in your life bothers you, remember that you voted for them. They are the ones on the Left. After a bit of thought it occurred to me that it must not be saving water at all or the Left would be running huge taxpayer funded propaganda articles about how smart they are.
