The famous maroon spoon, available in two sizes, continues to be a favorite. Narrow, shallow bowl makes it ideal for feeding therapy. Perfect for working with children with problems such as poor lip closure, oral hypersensitivity, or tongue thrust. While extremely tough and break-resistant, these spoons are plastic so we do not recommend using them with clients with severe bite reflex. Dishwasher safe. No heated drying.

Great for oral motor stimulation
I received 1 of these in OT for my child. She has therapy 5 times a day. This bundle gives plenty for therapy sessions and enough to leave in the diaper bag.

Great special needs feeding spoon
We have a nine month old son who is exclusively g-tube fed (formula) and our therapist wanted to introduce solids (purees). We tried the typical spoons and failed. Our therapist suggested the Maroon spoon and our son is eating and swallowing like a pro! Highly recommend these spoons for children with any feeding issues. Our son has hypotonia (low muscle tone) due to having Trisomy 21 and a heart repair, but any child with any type of oral issues would benefit from trying this spoon! It is also very durable in construction and not "disposable looking" - it will last a long time. We hand wash. I would not recommend the dishwasher.
