Finally my dog uses it
I had previously purchased a small real grass system for my difficult to train toy poodle about a year ago and she would not use it.I just purchased the Doggie Lawn Dog Potty Kit Real Grass and Tray x Large, placed it on my deck which is in an enclosed fenced in area, and she is using it.My goal is to move it into the garage for the bad winter weather because the snow is usually up to her belly.I am finding the sod is starting to burn out somewhat, therefore I do not know how long it will last before needing a replacement. However, I do find the XL is must easier for her to have some room to walk around on it.

Great patio or balcony solution for your pup
The doggie lawn pieces put on my balcony in downtown Chicago were utilized right away by my 12 year old border terrier who is not used to big city life. Otter smells and marked is new territory right away with the new piece of lawn on my balcony. He is an older dog and this sure beats going up and down the elevator to take care of business expecially at night. Thanks doggie lawn.

Be persistent and it works
It took my two Daschunds 2 days to try however when they did it was the best thing for them.We followed the instructions and best time to try is early morning when their bladders were full. We put them on top of the grass, said pee pee and it worked. We gave them a treat straight away and did it again the following morning. Now they are used to it. We placed ours in the balcony outside and both dogs go there and ask us to open the door to the balcony when they need to go. We still take them for walks during the day as they love the park for their number twos. Best thing for me is not having to rush outside anymore early mornings and late nights. Very convenient!

Potty training
I live in a second floor apartment, & I have a three month old basset hound puppy. The doggielawn is indispensable when it comes to potty training. Most puppies have a very short attention span, when she starts to have an accident, I get the leash, take her down stairs, and put her in a patch of grass, she's forgotten what we were doing. With this product, as soon as she starts to have an accident, I can quickly put her on the porch and train her to go in a grassy place. You probably don't need this product if you live in a house and are able to let the dog out when they need to go. If you're potty training a puppy in an apartment, I think that it is a lifesaver.

Puppy Likes it but .....
Easy to set up-liner and grass came in separate boxes. Grass was actually sparse and I expected it to grow once it was out of the box but instead the "sod" started to deteriorate and turn black. The puppy took to the mat as soon as it was set up so that was great but after a few days when it began rotting, the puppy stopped using it. So, after about a week, we had to get rid of the "grass". This product was not inexpensive and all we really got out of it was the plastic liner. All to say, I cannot recommend it.

Great idea, great customer service
the doggie lawn is a splendid idea and my dog is using it. things i didn't like...the sod weighs like a gagillion pounds and arrives soaked with water. it is VERY hard to maneuver. the tray is the cheapest thing i have ever seen and not worth it at all. it is very thin bendy plastic...it will not withstand the elements very well especially if you live through four season. I'd have given four stars if it wasn't for the crappy plastic tray.

Great Product
This product is a GREAT idea. We bought it because we live in a apartment and in the middle if the night in the rain we thought this would be very convenient. Unfortunately we cant convince our german shepherd to use it on the balcony. However my moms english bulldog comes over and uses it when he is here. The product was shipped fast and was straightforward in unboxing and setting up. I give it 5 stars because i know it works for most dogs especially if trained to use it and it is super convenient and great product for anyone in a high rise apartment.

Tray is made of very poor quality plastic
The tray is very brittle cheap plastic. Mine arrived with many little holes along the edges. Was very disappointed, thought for the price it would be better quality plastic, seems as poor quality as the disposable kitty litter pans sold at the grocery store. I duck-taped the broken areas, but don't feel confident that it will be water-tight when the dog goes on it. So far the dog likes to sleep on it and dig on it. I had to cover the vent closest to it because of little scraps of dirt/fiber being tossed around by her digging. She likes to rub her face in it. Not sure yet if she'll use it as an indoor dog toilet, but at least she is enjoying it a lot.
