Controlling the portions dispensed is not perfect, and may be more variable than you like, but this is still a decent system for providing multiple feeding options or variants to your fish. It does require leaving the lid at least partly off, so, if your fish are wont to go leaping out of the tank, This Device Is Not The Feeder You Are Looking For.The chief benefit of this device is the ability to vary the food dispensed over time -- it basically spins in place to drop a kinda-sorta-measured amount per spin into the tank. You can organize the feeding schedule by having it spin 5x a day with one spin on the odd numbered feedings, and three spins on the odd numbered feedings, or feed them four spins at 10am, 2 spins at noon, 3 spins at 3pm, and 1 spin at 6pm...It is good if you are often otherwise pre-occupied, or out of the home, at times when you want to feed, and particularly if you don't want to just dump a huge amount of food into the tank only to have a third of it wind up gumming up the soil instead of feeding the fish.

Took a chance since no other reviews were written for this feeder. Have had the feeder for only 2 weeks.The battery took about 4 hours to charge and has lasted for the past 2 weeks with every day use with no drop in battery life.I use Hikari micro pellets and used a piece of tape to secure the dispenser to the opening that didn't drop too much food each cycle.The instructions are ok and not too difficult to figure out. It can be programmed to dispense 4x a day (or as little as 1x) but other programming options are not available. It does include a manual feed option which is nice if you want to test the units dispense amount or just randomly feed you fish.Overall, happy with the unit for the short time I've had it.

Having a few aquariums and feeding needs, we ordered 4 different styles of automatic feeders. Overall, this has been the best of the group. Can be scheduled for 4 different times a day and can dispense up to 3 doses per period. Portion sizes are set by adjusting the slide opening on the feed container. Currently, we use it for granule with a small opening and 2 rotations. The built in rechargeable battery (usb charged) is a great safe guard to guarantee consistent power to the unit. We have not noticed any moisture within the food storage, but does show condensation on bottom of unit due to hanging over aquarium. We would defiantly purchase more IDREAMO Automatic Fish Feeders when we need too.

I ordered this before I went on vacation and it was perfect! I was really nervous that I was going to come home to a dead tank, but all my frogs and fish were alive and well! I used dried bloodworms, and I was afraid they would get stuck, but there were no issues. I haven’t used it since because bloodworms are more of a treat for everyone in the tank, they each have their own special food (but the bloodworms are the one thing they all eat). This is great once you get the hang of it. It’s easy to set up and works exactly when you need it. The only issue was with the placement on my tank because of the type of lid I have. This thing is awesome! I haven’t needed to charge it yet and it’s been almost three months. Love it!

The product is very easy to use, and the battery life is great.I was on a six-week vacation and the feeder worked perfectly, and the battery sign was only down 1 bar (out of 4 bars, so the battery was around 75% after 6 weeks).However, I only have a 10 gallon aquarium, and the smallest opening you can set up with the feeder was still too big for my tank size, and I had to manually(?) put a scotch tape to downsize the opening even further for my purposes.Hence, I give it 4 stars due to the fact that the feeder is not really adopted for smaller aquariums.

Overall this is a great product. The ability to adjust the amount of food dispensed is fantastic, the feeder is quiet, and can feed my 6 glofish for a couple months before needing refilled. The only downside is that the initial programming is a bit tedious and not very intuitive. I would just recommend reading the directions very carefully and keeping an eye on it the first day or two to make sure that the timer and feeding rotations are working as you expected. The battery has lasted me months in between needing recharged!

I have purchased many auto feeders with no good results in fact tossed them out within 2 weeks. This feeder is so easy to use and you can adjust the amount that comes out. I am using it to feed my turtle and now I can go on vacation without worrying about him being feed. I would recommend this to everyone who want to feel security that your animals will be feed.

Make it easy to feed my fish no longer have to remember and able to go on vacation without try buying those vacation tabs that my fish didn’t like.
