I am currently hooked on the Teavana Ceremonial Matcha and have been looking for a cheaper alternative. Unfortunately this isn't it. As soon as I opened the package I noticed the color was more of a dull army green versus the vibrant sapling green I was used to. I also noticed a faint fishy odor. Fortunately the fish smell disappeared after I mixed in the hot water. Taste wise it was okay but it left a coating on my tongue which my normal tea doesnt. Too early to tell if it offers the same smooth alertness to which I have grown accustomed but given the smell and mouth feel I would say this one failed to meet my needs as a replacement.Oh well, the search continues.

This matcha is very good quality. One of the main reasons I purchased it was because of the "1st harvest" qualities which tends to make the tea much more potent. It is also ceremonial grade which is very important in my opinion. It is a very lively and vibrant green color. I typically do not brew my tea, I simply shake it with cold water. It has minimal clumping even using it this way and still ends up being very smooth. I'm not sure if the double sealed bag keeps the product as fresh as a tin can that a lot of these matcha teas come in but it seems to be retaining its potency and freshness. Did not realize how small the bag would be but this does not affect the quality obviously just something I didn't realize. Will probably purchase a larger size in the future as this seems to be the best value.

This product is alright. However, it's extremely bitter for me, and I'm someone who prefers my matcha on the bitter side. I've studied tea ceremony for three years, so I know what water temperatures are ideal when making a bowl of tea. It's absolutely not the matcha being overheated. This brand just runs bitter. It's also a bit bland. I'm used to a rich, earthy flavor, but those tones seem to be very weak.This isn't something that I'd buy again, but it's also not completely undrinkable.

I paid a lot more for this because it's ceremonial grade. However, it is the same quality (taste, color and texture) as the food grade one I buy on Amazon. And this is double the price for much less product.

I'm a high performance Triathlete and have been in the sport for the last 10 years.I've race twice in Kona IMWC and also Vegas IMWC 70.3.I started using this product like 6 months ago to replace the use of Coffee and honestly was amaze by the boost curve provided when used in the mornings before workout. This product can be use with warm or cold water, as well as with hot water or hot milk. Tastes very good and again help me replacing the use of coffee and providing the boost needed for training and also to perform during the work day.After using it for a while during the mornings, I started including it in my water bottles when working out, specially on the long bike workouts and again I was very impress of the boost that I was getting from this All Natural product!I really recommend this product for those seeking for a sustained energy source fo workout or or else for just keeping up with the regular workdays!

This product is super small. Not worth the money and the photo is verrrry misleading. Beware!!!

I have been drinking this tea Organic Matcha Tea for several weeks now. I was surprised at the size, and although it is noted on the description, I thought that package would be much larger, but that is completely my fault for not gauging package correctly. Good quality Matcha tea can be expensive, but I found this product to be well priced.With that being said, I routinely have a cup first thing in the morning in order to get those anti-oxidant qualities in my system. I enjoy the taste and have had no bitter aftertaste as I have with other Matcha teas.I don't use any sweetener so that I can enjoy this tea in its natural state. This product is easily resealable and of good quality. I would definitely purchase this product again.As a matter of fact, I drink this tea again before bedtime. Thanks for the great taste and quality!

I thought for the price I was getting a lot more quantity wise. I also did not think this tasted any better than the less expensive ones I have tried. I could not tell the difference between the taste of this and the matcha dna one which is a lot cheaper and really yummy. I don't see the big hype over this . Save your money.
