ASTRO Gaming A50 Base Station for PlayStation 4 & PC (2019 Version)

I was so happy when I found this on amazon, I didn't want to spend another $300 on a whole new headset when the base wouldn't plug in properly. Very easy to connect your pre existing Astro A50's in.

Excellent product. Works as intended. I switch back and forth with my other base to use on both PS4 and Xbox.

I have multiple A50 headsets, multiple docs and old style base. I typed and emailed a few detailed and descriptive questions for Tech support. I received an email back stating my case was closed and solved? Oh, and a link to purchase their new adapter for PS5. You think I'm going to purchase another Astro product with this lack of support? LOL Naw homie. I called Astro direct and a phone tech at least read my email but had to tap dance around because I'm running my setup through my receiver and "not the proper way" to use the Astros. He said he really couldn't comment on something I may have "googled and found a way for it to work" Sorry, didn't have to google ish.. Any audiophile understands how to run a HDMI in and Opt out. LOL. 1 star rating for receiving no support. I've purchased many Astro Gaming items over many years but will no longer due to the lack of support. I can not recommend Astro Gaming.

a little tricky but now working as planned

I bought this addition for my Astro A50s Xbox edition. I’m giving this a 4 star review for the only reason of constant updates. I love the headset. It has amazing sound quality, pretty good batter life, and over all very comfortable.Recently I have been experiencing mic issues on certain party chat games. These only started when I started using the headset. The reason I have come to is the update issue I mentioned. Once you update it, these issues disappear until the next update is needed. So if you have the money, are around a laptop or desktop, and love audio like I do. These are the ones for you. P.s. sorry for the long review. Hope this helps

Overall I really enjoy the Astro Gaming A50 Gen 4 headset, however this is my third base-station I've had to purchase. Like clockwork they break down and stop working after 2 years. I am paying $100 dollars for the base-station alone, I expect a well made product...

Missing the required hardware cables to use it. Power cable and optical missing. It didn't even come in the original box, even though it claims to be new. It was wrapped in plastic wrap and shipped in a plastic bag. I'm surprised it made it here in one piece. Also missing are all of the factory protective wrapping and port plugs that a new one comes with. Will be returning this ASAP.
