Ok let me start by saying that unless you have pretty slim fingers this is not going to work well for you.The grips/half loops on the back are pretty small in curvature, meaning that if you have large hands this is not going to fit comfortably in your grip.Fortunately I have very slim fingers and it is just about a perfect grip on me so I can't imagine it fitting, say, a man with large hands.The dispenser comes in two halves, the front comess off to load the tape which is threaded through a slot, and then the front clicks back on.I've bought this to help with wrapping Christmas gifts and save cutting tiny bits of tape etc. It leaves both hands free to fold and wrap the paper.I did have the old Scotch tape hand dispensers but they were constantly getting jammed and it seems they no longer produce the refills either.Hopefully this will be a better solution, and if I can find the right sized generic refills instead of spending more than I need to on the specific refills for this product, then it will be even better!Looks good so far and pretty cheap at time of purchase.Optimistic.EDITED - after using this to wrap a TONNE of presents I feel I can comment a little more. The housing keeps popping open when you use it, after a few goes of ripping the tape out an using the blade to cut it, it must jiggle the front/back of the two halves of the plastic housing a little each time until eventually it works it's way open, and half of the housing flies off. This happened 10 or more times during one wrapping session and became very irritating. I think ironically you would have to sellotape it shut to stop this from becoming a problem. Loses a star because of this!I have nicked my fingers a couple of times on the cutting edge too.I do like the hands free aspect of it but it is still a little bulky when you are trying to use both hands to get a nice crisp corner etc.Still not found generic cheaper refills.In the future I will tape the housing closed before I start.Definitely useable, like the bright colour of the dispenser that you can find in amongst the piles of wrapping paper and offcuts.Will work until something better comes along!

Huge heavy item definately well made

I think this company musbe selling B-Stock as everyone seems to have complaints about the condition.It's home use so doesn't matter to me, but if you're into aesthetics, be aware there's a high chance of it being heavily scratched when it arrives.

Trying to find one of these in the shop is near on impossible so bought online and very happy with it. Does what it should

Easy to use one handed as it's heavy so doesn't move. It is quite chunky though.

I spent a stupid amount of time trying to find a sellotape dispenser which got perfect reviews but failed, though this one came close. I can only say, having used it for a couple of weeks now, that this one is exactly what I wanted. It is heavy enough not to move off the desk, the cutter does indeed cut extremely well, it is designed to take both small and large sellotape reels and the cogs which hold the tape are well designed and will not snap. I also have not had any issues with paint coming off the product which one reviewer mentioned. So all in all, I am very pleased with my purchase.
