Useful book
We have used this book during our recent trip to NOLA. Good book, interesting and useful descriptions of the different buildings. The only thing I wish that there were some photos to go along each walking tour. Although that might make the book longer and/or more expensive.

Great Guide!
I saw this book in the AirBNB the last time I was in New Orleans on a bar crawl. I live 2hrs away and travel to NOLA often just to hang out. I've done walking tours on my own plenty of times, but never had a guide to show/tell me about all the special spots. This book is FULL of different routes/tours to take all on your own with descriptions and stops with full details.Fantastic book to have if you'd rather plan your own walking tours of NOLA!

They are all great and this one is no exception
I've bought and used at least 5 of the books in this series. They are all great and this one is no exception. There is a variety of areas and distances to choose from, and there are many places to eat included which I find to be the best aspect of these itineraries.

I used this book for my 4 day trip in New Orleans! I've travelled Europe with amazing tour books and this book blew those out of the water! The map helped my intoxicated self to get around and still learn things! I loved the Riverwalk section and the Garden District the most!

Altertative way to experience New Orleans.
This book is a fantastic guide for any one who is really desiring to get the most of there visit to "The Big Easy." I wished I have had this item my prior trips. The author does an excellent job in breaking down the different parts which one might wish to spend time exploring in more detail. I would suggest utilizing this guide along with your "smart phone" or tablet to get the most of your walking or driving experience. Also, the restaurant reconmendations are a bonus saving one time and a few "$." I recommend the Kindle edition as it will provide one with detail maps of the areas you are walking through.

Hats off to the author!
The fourth edition of Walking New Orleans does not just tell you where to walk and what to see in New Orleans, it is also a great cultural introduction to parts of the city you may never have visited on your previous trips to the city. This book is for people who have been to New Orleans twenty times and for people visiting there for the first time. Barri Bronston is a gifted writer who will make you feel comfortable regarding New Orleans before you even get there. Hats off to her. Every major walkable city in the world should have a book modeled after her book.

Very helpful walking guide!
Really like this book, great detail on each area to tour with a walking tour of each area routed out for you. I wish only that more photos were in the book. Otherwise it's a great way to experience NOLA with pre knowledge of the districts!

To avoid at all costs! (The book... not the city ;) !!!
Totally useless book! You don't need it. New Orleans is fantastic, electrifying, with generous inhabitants. If you come to the US of A, don't miss this city, but pleeeeaaaaase, don't bring any guide book, and particularly not this one. Laissez-vous emporter par la ville! Planez!

Excellent guidebook that will maximize your pleasure in exploring!
Can't fault the book, but we never used it. My friend and I were weary from the walking we did do as we both had hip replacements, so had no "gas in the tank" to take walking tours. But the book has not only very clear directions, but also tells you what restaurants are nearby so you can take breaks on your trek. Wonderful!
