These Chinese pens continue to amaze me, and this one is no exception
These Chinese pens continue to amaze me, and this one is no exception. It's metal, attractive, nicely weighted, comes with a serviceable converter, and has a nib that rivals that on pens that cost ten times as much. That latter claim is no exaggeration: I have several pens that actually cost ten times as much, and this nib can match those on most of the more expensive instruments. It's not particularly wet, at least not with Private Reserve Ebony Green, but the flow is fine, and I've experienced no hard starts or skipping. For a medium nib the line it lays down is pretty fine. This is not my first 388, and I haven't been disappointed yet.

Executive Arrow Iridium Medium Nib Fountain Pen Baoer 388 Black and Green...
I love this pen! The color/pattern is nice, and the nib is very good. I really like that the converter cartridge has a little ball inside that moderates the ink flow. I do not have to keep opening the pen to manually feed the ink through to the nib. It writes smoothly.

Beautiful pen, great ink flow!
This pen is beautiful and very easy to maintain. It takes the ink well and flows very smoothly, even if it sits for a few days. It's one of my favourites!

A bargain at twice the price
Love this pen. Sleek without being TOO thin (I'd gotten used to the more girthy cigar barrel pens from Jinhao) and it writes smoothly. The dark green accents are stylish and not too ostentatious. I got it so I'd have a pen that I knew "at a glance" had my Noodler's Cactus Green ink in it. No complaints, will probably end up buying more of these Baoer pens.
