This shelf is nice. But not for heavy things.
It is pretty light and easy to stall. Nothing to be dislike. They are very light. If you are looking for something steady these are not the ones for you. But if you are looking for something very pretty nice easy to install and light then they are. I didn't used it as a shelf. I used it to crown a make believe balcony I made in the middle of my house front wall. It was wide and blah for years. So I idealized a fake Juliette or Rapunzel balcony. I also bought lamps to go on each side but I haven't installed them yet. I wanted something to crown the top to give it more definition and this one had the exact measurements and bring it up there. I just hope it will hold when hurricane season arrives. Lol. I bought another one before. But had to return it because although it was beautiful, it was just too heavy to bring it up. This one fitted the purpose just fine. Thank you

Love the Shelves, but Not the Hardware
The shelves are gorgeous and very well made. Installation was easy, but the hardware that came with the shelves wasn't sturdy enough - just some long screws and plastic hollow wall anchors. Instead of using the mounting hardware provided, I opted for Zip-Toggle Heavy Duty Drywall Anchors model #376236 (no pre-drilling type; they get hammered into the wall) and size #6 flat stainless steel washers to secure the wood mounts to the wall. The toggle lock anchors have a much higher weight capacity (up to 70lbs) than the plastic ones (up to 15 lbs, if nailed into studs) provided with the shelves. For easy planning and aligning the shelves, I taped the wood mounts to each shelf with painter's tape where I intended them to be, then took a second length of painter's tape (my "guide tape") across the back of the shelf to measure the shelf and mark where the screw holes would need to be. I used those guide tapes to plan out where I wanted my shelves and used them to installing the drywall anchors. Using the tape came in handy, since they could be rearranged and removed easily. I attached a mock-up to show how the taping method works.I originally ordered these shelves in Espresso, but decided they were too dark for my decor. Rather than return them, I spray painted them white using Rust-Oleum 2X Painter's Touch spray paint in Flat White. Came out great!

Nice Shelves and Good Quality for the Money
These are very nice looking shelves. They are as described and look great on the wall. I have neutral wall color and white window trim. They match the window trim perfectly so they fit in well. I ordered two of the 48" and each had a minor flaw not really visible enough to see or be disappointing. They were packed pretty well. Wrapped in plastic covering with styrofoam pieces to cushion them. The directions are straight forward. You will need a drill, hammer and screw driver (phillips head) to mount these. The fit on the blocks is close, which is good, but if you tighten them to the wall you may have to ease back a turn or two on the screws so the edge of the block fits at the right distance with the shelf. Not a big adjustment but if you find they are not 'seating' into the block then try to loosen just a tiny bit. I also took the suggestion of putting a finish nail into each block although you don't have to do that. I think with shorter shelves you might feel better about not needing that.I have attached a picture. I have these in the 'office' area of my master bedroom.I wanted mine for some pictures and knickknacks so they work fine. And after you have hung one shelf it is much easier to do the next. I did these by myself but you need to just take your time. If you have some help for marking etc. that would be good. I have put together furniture you order and hang pictures on my own etc. but I am not mechanically inclined nor wish to be! If you can use simple tools then it shouldn't be a problem, if not then get someone to help or look for an alternative to these.

Love this shelf!
I've had this shelf for years. I love it! It looks very classy and has held up beautifully. I can't comment on the install process because I had someone put it up for me. He didn't have a problem putting it up but he is handy. I am very happy with this shelf.

Beautiful!
I am blind, and it was extremely easy for me to install. Oops on my part, it’s not exactly 100% level! LOL! But it looks great!

Great quality
The media could not be loaded. My contractor came to finish my fireplace but said our existing mantle was too short forwhat I wanted to do. With him returning in a few days, I scoured Amazon. The delivery was great! So we opened the box and was perfect. Not super heavy but sturdy. it came with all the hardware. The holes were lined up perfectly. The contractor said it was so easy to hang And it was better than the one I bought from other mantle manufacturers. I'm so pleased with this purchase.

Looks great
There is no instructions but a basic handyman should be able to figure it out. I didn't like the wall anchors that came with it so I used my own. Almost a perfect finish on the product.
