This hat is amazing for the price. You connect it to Bluetooth, and then whatever I put in the app, it appears on the hat. I did have some trouble at first getting it to charge, because I was too afraid to push the USB cable connector hard enough to get it all the way in. But once I got it all the way on, a charging icon appeared. I haven’t tested it in the field yet, but I can confirm that it stayed on for at least 2 hours after fully charged and it was still going strong. Also, the power connector is very delicate. Be gentle until you get it all the way on, then you can push it hard

Don't buy this! The app is faulty and the hat's screen died after a day of use.

The media could not be loaded.  The hat is fun and easy to use all you have to do is download a app and boom!!! U can draw and customize it, also make it go and direction or even blink. I love that you can charge the hat too instead of always needing batteries. Great product and quality thanks!

Do not buy this hat, go with a different vendor. The app used to control the display requests access to listen on calls, read text messages and access data on your phone. Let me remind everyone, the function of this app should ONLY be to use your bluetooth to update the screen. The vendor recommends denying access to the app for the said permissions, however if you do so, it will not allow you to update the display and will close out.Again, go with a different vendor, however if you feel you still need to use this one or already have bought one, get an old phone, CLEAR it of ALL data, install this app then install the app so it does not pull all of your text messages, photos and call recordings.Amazon should remove this vendor

I actually loved this hat, but was only able to enjoy it for a couple of hours. Once I disconnected from the hat I was never able to reconnect to it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software without success. It was great while it worked but now I am forced to come to terms with throwing it out because it no longer works. Good for one use? I'm sure that's not what was intended, but that's what it is. To be clear, the hat powers on but shows no obvious sign of having done so. I can cycle through the preset graphics built into the hat but my phone will not connect to it through Bluetooth. Something in that process has failed after the initial connection and I can not reestablish the connection. I have noticed that when I am in a preset graphic and attempt to connect that the screen goes blank, so in some sense it is recognizing the attempt before it fails. It seems a software issue, and I don't see a way of addressing it as a user, not even a reset button. I'd be happy to be sent a new one if these early issues have been addressed but I think I'm more likely stuck with a severely limited unit.

Works as intended. I would've liked to see the Bluetooth/battery pack/power button and wires a bit more protected or secured below the sweat band of the hat. Pairs nicely on the app, unless you have another product that runs the same app (switching back and forth hassle). Use a factory reset burner phone. App requires access to everything.

Took this to a Birthday party, and other people are going to order one.
