Trees of Arizona Field Guide (Tree Identification Guides)

This book would be great but for one thing: it has no pictures of the tree in its entirety, i.e., how it looks to a human standing on the ground. It has several pics for each tree discussed but the pics are of the leaf, the stem, the seed, etc. When you are driving or walking and see a tree 30 yards away, you want to be able to take a look in the book for shape, height, color, general appearance, etc.

This is a nifty pocket sized little book that's full of color photographs and useful information. I only wish I'd found it sooner. I've been living in northern Arizona for many years but still have much to learn about the place and this is sure to help.

These books were exactly what I was looking for...great pictures, great explanations and easy to understand references. For "newbies" to the great state of Arizona, great guides. Recommend!

Excellent book with wonderful detail on Az trees. It's the best field guide I've seen. I've been enjoying Az trees for decades & beginning to forget the details, this book puts it all back in the old noggen.
