Motor oil
I used this to pump oil into transmissions, transfer cases and differentials. Anybody that works on vehicles know hand pumping oil is a time consuming and frustrating task. This can pump about a gallon a minute depending on how thick the oil is.NOTE: I see a lot of people complaining it doesn't work. It requires a 1200 rpm minimum drill to work, which many smaller drills won't do.

Works but not made for moving a lot of water
I have two small fountains and was looking for a fast way to empty them. This works fine for finishing the job as it works in shallow water but i am back to using a Slurpee cup for the big job. Another annoyance is the hoses are coiled so you need three or four hands; 1) operate the drill, 2) holding the pump so it doesn't spin, 3) holding the intake hose in place, 4) holding the output hose so empties where you want it to and not all over you. I ended up zip-tieing bailing wire to the hoses so i can position them as needed. But it works as advertised and seems well made for the price.

works as advertiseId
I needed to empty a 55 gallon rain barrel. As a 60+ woman with poor upper body strength, I did not want to- nor was capable of- tipping over a full rain barrel to drain. This product was just the ticket- it worked well. I hooked it to a corded drill, used a long garden hose on the output side and was able to drain a 55 gallon rain barrel in about 20-25 minutes. Stopping occasionally to clear the intake hose of algae and let the drill cool off. I followed the directions ( pre-oiled the inflow side), had no trouble tightening the drill chuck, put a netting screen over the inflow end, and had no trouble holding the drill. I drained down to about 20-25 % before I was able to tip the barrel over. Definitely worth the money.

Functions but pretty much useless
This pump is so useless I just threw it out. First problem, the suction hose requires either a rock or someone's dedicated hand to position so it remains where it needs to be, it doesn't just hang there ... yes you could add your own piece of hose but then you have priming issues. Second, you have to hold the pump itself with a dedicated hand to keep the body from rotating. Then you have your 3rd hand to operate the drill. With the feed rate so low, I make much better progress with a manual hand pump. If you add up the time and effort to get the water "from" and "to" with this pump, I believe a turkey baster would perform about the same for most projects.

It works but not for large volumes
Doesn’t suck as much water as I thought it would

Deceptively Strong Pump
I recently purchased this pump to empty a koi pond that is probably 4ft x 6 ft. It didn't seem like it was pumping large amounts of water out, but within probably 30 minutes it had emptied the pond with no problems. The only thing I wasn't crazy about is that the clear plastic tube is shipped inside of the water hose, and it was a little difficult to pull it out. Other than that, the pump worked great.

Not practical
Yes it is probably me. The intake hose inner diameter is super small. I can spit water through a straw faster than this. This is ment for draining the bottom inch of whatever your pumping. Not for getting the job done. I estimate it would take 10 minutes or more to drain a home depot bucket. What I think it probably is good for is moving a small stream of water up probably 8ft which still wouldn't be worth buying this as it doesn't have a check valve. Buy a real pump.

Might take an extra hand depending on use
A little harder to use sometimes with only 2 hands due to the possibility of the drill itself freespinning. But as long as you have help it's easy to use.I use it to pump water out of the storage area and footwell of my jetski after washing it/rinsing the salt water out. Specifically for me I have to hold the intake hose in the bottom of the storage compartment and run the drill while someone else hold the discharge hose outside.I use it with a Dewalt 20V Max XR hammer drill on speed 2 and it pumps out a few gallons a minute, idk. Never measured it, but fast enough for me. However, if you were pumping large quantities of water it would take a while.
