PROCEED WITH CAUTION
Yes, this cup works great! Not even a hint of a leak for over eight hours. Fit comfortably all day; I was about to text all my best friends and sing the praises of this miracle cup... But then I tried to remove it. For 3 hours I : relaxed, squated, lunged, stretched, showered, and finally cried. I was terrified that this foreign object was legitimately stuck, suctioned to my insides growing bacteria. The ring seemed pushed up and back, crooked just out of reach. After a restless night and an hour wait for urgent care the nightmare was over. A nurse practitioner had to CUT A HOLE in the bulb for the suction to release and the femmycycle cup finally slid out.I have been using a diva cup for over 3 years and I never thought I would be brand loyal but... lesson learned.

FemmyCycle is Awesome! This is the only review you need to read.
*Sorry about the pics. It's a glitch A. & myself are trying to work out.*This reads a lot quicker than it looks.I wrote a lot, so I broke it down into sections. I had a lot of ?'s before I bought mine, & I hope this will help answer yours. The "me" section is candid; I thought it was important to understand the rest. You can skip over the Benefits, Tips, & Picture sections at the end. *9/4/16 I have updated this now I have more experience.ME:Endometriosis & pcos runs in my family. I have really intense periods. Like cramps so bad I have to stay curled up on the couch in agony-I'm not kidding. I have to take Vicodin to make it bearable & I still have really bad cramps, but I can function, except...I go through a super absorbency tampon* & a night-time pad* (t/p)* in 30-45 minutes. I can't go to work, run errands, or sleep, because it's super painful, & I have to change my t/p every hour or I end up changing clothes, the towel I sleep on, bedding, everything. That goes on for about 2 days. Usually, at this point, I'll just sit on the toilet so I don't have to keep going back & forth between the bathroom & the couch. I probably spend about 5(ish) hours a day on the toilet. Thank god for reading material, right? After that, it starts to mellow out & I can go a couple of hours between changing my t/p combo for the next 2 days. As neat as I can be, every time I would change my t/p, it was a mess.THE CUP:I started looking into menstrual cups for a nature friendly, relatively (it's all relative, isn't it?) clean & odorless solution for a backpacking trip coming up. This was 1 of the last ones I stumbled on. I was really interested in the no-spill part, & the pull loop looked like it would be easier to grab (1 finger instead of 2) than the straight tails on others. It's seems big, but it is smooth, very soft, & very squishable. They come in 3 sizes, regular, low cervix, and teen. If you're not sure if you have a low cervix, ask your ObGyn/doctor.I paid $60 for a 2-pack. I'm very frugal, but when I added how much money I spend on t/p, extra toilet paper, soap, & laundry detergent every year, the $ is really good. I read some great reviews that said 1 cup can easily last 2 years w/ proper care. Since I bought the 2-pack it's waaay cheaper than buying all my usual period supplies from Costco. This is the 4th period I've used my cup. The 1st time I got the cup properly placed about 50% of the time. I wore 1 of my pads just in case I did it wrong. The 2nd & 3rd time I only had issues 2 times w/ leaking or placement that a regular pantyliner couldn't take care of. I still wore a panty liner during the day, & a pad during the night in case I didn't wake up to empty the cup 1-2 times a night. This 4th time I just wear 1 pantyliner for 24 hrs, & a pad on my 2 heaviest nights so I can sleep in & not get up during the night. There's still not much on the pad in the morning. Did you hear that? I actually get to sleep when I use my cup!! At my heaviest flow I can go 1.5-2 hours before I have to empty the cup during the day. The FemmyCycle is actually less messy than putting a tampon in/out. You can feel it for a moment until it "adjusts" itself after inserting, but there is no discomfort. Nothing like the discomfort (wrong angle, irritation from the dryness & abrasivness) from using super absorbent tampons. I can't feel the cup once it's fully in, & a moment later I forget it's even there. :-)MY METHOD:I pull it out slowly over the toilet leaning back in a not quite sitting position, flip the top open w/ a finger tip, & empty it into the toilet. I wash the cup w/ soap & water, then squirt some peroxide in/on it, shake it off, & insert it. I fold it in half at the mark & hold it so the open side of the fold is on the bottom (like an "n" not a "u"). I angle it diagonally toward the back of my uterus instead of straight up. Almost all the air will squeeze out as you put it in, but that's what you want. The moderate suction is what pulls the blood into the cup. When I put it in I insert the cup fully but don't push it way up. I can easily feel the ring at the entrance. I find that the cup will settle itself the rest of the way into position (so that I actually have to insert a finger tip to feel the ring). Don't worry, it won't get lost. You'll find the perfect way to do it for you.BENEFITS-Doesn't spill when taken out like other menstrual cups (so I've read)-Doesn't leak-Stays put better than tampons (for those w/ exceptionally heavy flows)-Less messy to use than my usual t/p-Cheap (cost over time)-Less Cramps! vs tampons-Environmentally friendly-Don't have to worry about TSS-So comfortable I forget it's there-Blood isn't exposed to air or the drying & abrasive effects of tampons, so less clots, less browning, & no odor-Made of medical grade silicon so if you have a latex/rubber allergy have no fearTIPS-Make sure your nails are short & the edges filed smooth.-I can easily test if it's in properly: I gently push out & if I can feel a tiny bit of air come through I re-insert it. Then I give a very soft pull to feel a moderate amount of resistance from the suction.-Always wash the cup w/ soap before & after use, & let thoroughly AIR dry. You can wipe it dry, but even if you don't see any water droplets, there is still a small amount of humidity. If you want to speed up the drying time, I suppose you could use your hair dryer on the cool setting.-Sometimes if the cup is 3/4+ to the top, I leak if I have to number 2, so I just take it out & then put it back in when I'm done. I have never pushed the cup out when using the bathroom. When I used tampons they would be so soaked I'd end up pushing them out just going pee.-Someone suggested that if you are using public bathrooms you could bring a ziplock baggie to switch cups so you don't have to wash the cup where people can see, & for heavy flows, those thin medical latex gloves (check any pharmacy), so you don't have to wash your hands where people can see.-I wish I had thought of that when I was using tampons.-Baby wipes! They are awesome for cleaning up a bit when you change your cup (or whatever you're using). I lay my cup on 1. (tp sticks to the h2o on it.)-When I'm horizontal (sleeping), blood just kind of sits there, but once I stand it all wants to come out. So, when I wake up I immediately go to the bathroom to empty the cup. (My very heavy flow, remember?)-I'd been using Always Ultra Thin 10hr Overnight pads w/ the super absorbency tampons. The pads are super absorbent, don't carry odor, long enough to not overflow in that direction, & are almost as thin as a panty liner. I think they're more absorbent than the tampons. }Not really a cup tip, but I really like them.I will never go back to using tampons. I didn't think I could love something like this (eew! I know), but I really do.PICTURESI filled the cup w/ food coloring & h2o (to make it easier to see) almost to the top, which is the max level of blood it held during my heaviest flow. I can tilt the full cup 45 degrees without spilling. Even if you did spill a tiny bit, most of it is trapped under the funnel flap thingy. I stuck the tampon plunger level with the bottom of the funnel so you can see how little h2o is actually in the opening. I poured the h2o into a shot glass, then dipped the super absorbency tampon in. At 1st it looks like it absorbed almost all the h2o the cup held, but I made a circle about as wide as the vagina and pulled (lightly) down. (Yes, I know they can fit babies, but that's different) FemmyCycle holds 2x (at least) the h2o the tampon does. (I already knew that, but wanted you to see.)

... this cup for two years now and I ABSOLUTELY love it!
I've been using this cup for two years now and I ABSOLUTELY love it!!! I could be a spokesperson for this cup. This cup has changed how I view my cycle. I actually look forward to my cycle.Pros1. No pads or tampons use2. This cup last two years. Cost saving!3. Not messy. I only see the blood when I empty the cup4. Doesn't spill over (unless left in too long)5. Great for heavy flow (if your flow is heavy, leave this cup in for no more than six hours)6. For a regular flow, you can leave in for 8-10 hoursConsI seriously Don't have any cons.TIPS1. Several people have mentioned this cup is hard to get out due to the suction. You typically experience this intense suction if you leave the cup in too long without any fluid. In other words, your cycle needs to fill the cup. An empty cup will cause intense suction. However, if you experience this intense suction, take a deep breath, squeeze the cup from the TOP to let out the air, and you should be good!2. If you are in a public place and need to empty the cup, grab a cup of hot water and take it with you in the bathroom stall. Use the hot water to wash out the cup once emptied.I would highly recommend giving this cup a couple months to get used to. Know where your cervix is located. If you know where it is, you should have no problems. I used several cups before this one (Lena, Diva, etc) and this is by far the best!

Poor design; waste of money.
I should start by telling you I'm a medical provider, do pelvic exams daily and and well aware of the pelvic anatomy (including mine). I purchased the FemmyCycle because I need to replace my Diva cup after a couple of years of successful use. I really liked the idea of the ring to remove the cup since removing the Diva cup can be difficult if slippery. Removing the FemmyCycle was easy with ring but painful because of the size. And I had to remove it OFTEN because it NEVER WORKED! It caught a drops of my flow; most of the flow was on my pad and underwear. I gave this cup a try for at two 7-day periods but couldn't afford the risk of bleeding through my work clothes (which I came close to since I stained my panties over the pad). There was no suction; the brim of the ring never opened inside the vaginal vault and the flow leaked around the cup. I hate that I can't get my money back for this buy; please don't waste your money.

Wish I had seen these sooner!!!
Fantastic! These work amazing. I have a tilted cervic and I manage to use these without leaks. I bought the two pack and find I use the low cervix one the most. I have not had any suction issues but having read the reviews before purchasing, I inserted it without folding so as to ensure there was no suction. I figure 4 kids came out of there, one which was 8 lbs, so inserting it without folding it shouldn't be an issue. haha. Works fantastic! Three cycles and no leaks. I've tried other menstral cups but they are all that bell shape with annoying stems. They just don't work for my body. This is a great alternative.
