Nummyware Plastic-free Glass Food Container with Sustainable Bamboo Top (1040mL)

Whoa, I am not one to write many reviews. Mainly because I am too lazy or I read other comments and I “take note” but this product has inspired me to sit down and type a few words.This set of glass containers; with BEAUTIFUL bamboo lids are fantastic. It is nice to see a well-made product that is PLASTIC FREE and yet, easy to store, stacks nicely and most importantly, you can use in an oven or microwave…..certainly beats heating up plastic!I highly recommend this product and encourage you to purchase and spread the word, you will not be disappointed.Cheers and happy shopping!

I have had these for 2 months and not long after I started using them, they started growing mold. The pictures show the mold after 2 months of use. I use them 5 days a week for my lunches at work, I hand wash them on the weekends and air dry them. I won't be buying these again. Maybe only for dry things? Also, they lids settle deep into the dish so you can't fit much in there if you want it to close tightly. They also leak water if there's some water in there. I got 1 370 mL and one 640mL . I'm currently looking for something else to take the place of my lunch dishes.

We bought these to replace the plastic Tupperware in our home in an effort to make some changes to products that are more durable and eco-friendly. I love that these have bamboo lids and the glass is very thick. They are very easy to clean, durable and sturdy. I have 2 issues that I would caution others on.1. The lids do not sit flat on the top of the glass containers, they seal and sit INSIDE the container and take up space that could otherwise be used for storage, which is a bummer. It would be as much of an issue but....2. 3 of the 4 containers are actually pretty small. I’ve posted pictures using a container of salt for reference, the smallest container could hold maybe 8-9 chunks of pineapple or olives. It’s that small. From the smallest to largest the containers (after the lid is on) range from 1”-2-5” deep. These are cute and can hold small amount of leftovers. Keeping that in mind, if that’s what you’re looking for these are great. If you’re a person who typically has a lot of leftovers, you might be better served purchasing containers with more space. I would LOVE to see these in much larger sizes for purchase.

I really wanted to love these but I don’t. I use too many plastic bags and was looking for a better solution. I find these glass containers heavy and the lids are somewhat hard to remove. I also was putting them away and nesting one inside the other when the medium one slipped out of my hand and landed with a thud in the larger one and broke. So be careful; they’re heavy but I guess they crack easily (at least my set did). The bamboo lids are a good idea but again, they are kind of heavy and the seal works well to seal but is hard to dislodge from the glass container. I kept them but find myself using other glass containers with plastic lids. I hate plastic but it’s just easier to use.

Great product! We are constantly using tupperware because we have two small kids, so it's been great to have some nicer quality containers to use. We love that these are plastic free and that we can simply pop off the tops and reheat leftovers etc in the microwave. The bamboo tops are functional and also beautiful to look at when you open the fridge!

Title says it all. I aimed this year to use less plastic, which includes not buying new plastic tupperware, hopefully ever again! I love these new tupperware, and they are quite solid (and more difficult to lose :)). They would make great gifts, too, for anyone trying to be more sustainable or for encouraging friends to be more sustainable in a classy way.

Received as a Christmas gift! Love that they are environmentally safe with no plastic. The glass containers are beautiful with bamboo lids that stack nicely in the refrigerator. Great size for leftovers. Take top off and reheat..no worries about plastics in my food! I like the fact that they are recyclable, biodegradable and don’t have any harmful chemicals.. I definitely will buy more to give as gifts!

LOVE these smartly designed glass containers with beautiful bamboo lids. These are great for leftovers, but a little small for a family size casserole. STILL they are a quality food storage solution which eliminates those awful rubber lids that don’t fit or get wonky after a few useages. Kudos to nummy ware for sustainable solutions!

I love the idea of no plastic. However at over £40 i was alittle disapointed that one of the lids has a crack in the wood. I didnt realise and used this to store some fish for my cats. Unfortunately the fish got stuck in the crack and is now very difficult to clean and remove the fishy smell so may have to recycle that one. Otherwise the product has worked well, although rather over priced.Update..do not buy this the lids have gone mouldy even though washed and stored correctly..ended up in the bin

I really liked this product. Most food containers have plastic so I was trying to avoid this so thisbwas one of the only products. I thought it was quite expensive for 4 items, but still really love them and feel happy they are eco friendly.

I did love these storage containers and I’ve used them loads; however i’ve been away for a few days and this is is how I’ve found a lid in my drawer

Complete waste of £40.One of the containers arrived cracked ... The bamboo lids are very difficult to open, the quality of the product is awful!

Schalen sind bei mir aus Glas mit Holzdeckel und Gummidichtung. Gut verpackt und nichts kaputt.Nutze die Schalen für den Kühlschrank und zum Essen aufwärmen in der Mikrowelle. Bei Flüssigem bin ich etwas vorsichtig und mache die Schalen nicht bis zum Rand voll. Da die Deckel aus Holz sind und ich den Holzinnendeckel noch vor Verfärbungen schützen möchte.Der Deckel löst sich bei mir relativ leicht wenn die Schale mit Essen befüllt ist und schräg gehalten wird. Deshalb nutze ich sie ausschließlich daheim. Dafür kann ich sie absolut empfehlen.
