These came promptly and I love them.Easy application and easy operation.A gentle knock on the window (as if to call one's significant other over to the patio door from outside without waking a sleeping baby) is enough to set these off.I've chosen to apply these to sliding doors, doors with glass inserts, and to a large "dead window" beside a solid door as well. They're not "made" for that particular use, but I believe that they'd be triggered by most any attempt to breach through, as long as the doors are appropriately locked.**It IS possible to gently open an unlocked (smooth operating and newer) sliding door without setting off the alarm. A significant tug on the handle lock...significant contact between a crow bar and the bottom of the door...or any contact with the window that might occur while someone tried to lift the slider off the track...would set off the alarm.Same idea with the other doors...these are not necessarily "made" for them...but any false moves, mistakes, or bumps a perpetrator caused when trying to tamper/breach a secured window or door, and I'm confident that this alarm would sound.Another level of security and peace of mind for around $10 apiece - well worth it to this buyer.
