Great looking trail doors.
Looked great and has a heavy secure feel. Kids love riding with these on. Netting makes it feel even safer but still open to the air. Took some time to get adjusted just right so the latch worked as needed. Once set right these are great.

Looks awesome!
Great trail doors with a killer look. A little tricky to get lined up but work great once you do!

assuming they must be better! Honestly
I bought the Gen3 version of the Body Armor doors.. assuming they must be better! Honestly, I'm not sure what the difference is other than I paid a lot more money.I like the look of the doors, and nice clean exterior. It turns a lot of heads. The door handles are good placement and design. I liked that they are a nice heavy steal. My goal for the doors was to have something there to contain my kids, when I had the full doors off. With that, I liked that the doors came up to give a higher top bar (where most tube doors go down). There were some blemishes in the powder coat, but they weren't noticeable once I put the netting on. The netting is just velcro'd on, so it is just for cosmetics and of no value to keeping anything in or out. They also do rattle some when driving, but not enough to bother me. The instructions that come with it were beyond horrible and I could find no instructions on Body Armor's website. I think you actually have to go out of your way to make instructions that poor! I basically was looking at random photo's on the internet and trying to figure out how to put the doors together. But the biggest issue for me is the way the door latches work. They open and close very poorly... once I kind of figured out how to kind of hold the handle, lift, and slam them just right... it's not so bad. But anyone but me struggles to open/close them effectively. In my research when looking at other vendor tube doors the latch's on them all seem horribly inadequate across the board. So I think this is a widespread problem that they all have inferior latches compared to the OEM doors that came with your Jeep (and what your expectations are for). I knocked off only a star for that, in a relative comparison. But that's my biggest complaint.

Way better than gen 2
No rattles and better door latches. Warning the body armor mirrors not so good. The doors are great

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money.... As stated before, instructions are a joke. But the biggest problem is that the bracket and locking mechanism do not line up and the bolts are too long. I can't understand why the company does not test these on the vehicles they say are designed for. I can't even use the latches and will be sending them back. Should have saved my money and bought the Generation 1 for 1/2 the price. Problem is I installed the front ones and they are good. Now I have to send back all 4 doors back to Amazon for a refund.

Good result, lots of work making it work
EDIT: After having them on for a while, I have to say I really do love them. See below for the issues I had with the installation. But in the end, I'm glad I gave it the effort and love the functionality and looks. They do a great job protecting our dogs and keeping stuff in the back seat, like packages and bags, so I don't have to tie them down. This product is a major mixed bag. Read the details, and decide whether it's for you. I'd probably buy it again, knowing what I know, but wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't very comfortable with the effort it needs.Pros:Look great, clean welds, nice design. We chose this because it fits the need perfectly; to keep our dogs safe in the back seat. The net means they can't poke a body part out, but the Jeep still feels "open." Once assembled and installed, they work nicely and they look great. This was my wife's first choice in doors also, for the great looks and because she also thinks it's perfect for the dogs (or kids if we had any).Cons:Sigh. Cheapness and not being careful to include the right parts leads to a challenging assembly. The hardware is the cheapest junk on the planet. A couple of the washers were mis-cut. All the hardware has a protective oil coating on it, and STILL there were rust spots on two bolts (tiny, but there). This hardware will not do well in wet climates, but should be fine here in AZ. In the South? No way. They are also shipping the doors with a new thicker latch which is good, but not with new longer hardware. Seriously? I called them and the guy I talked to was surprised. He offered to mail another hardware kit--of the same stuff that doesn't fit! So everyone will need to buy at least four bolts to fix that issue. And like I said, in a humid climate you will probably want to buy stainless hardware to replace all of it. I would guess about $40 in hardware, stainless isn't cheap. Ace, Home Depot, Lowes, and similar places all have it.The instructions are quite bad. Ignore them. Here's what made the work easy for me... I put the hinge plates into the hinges, then put the door on the Jeep and stuck one bolt in each hinge plate. That holds it in place. I put the nuts on them and then the rest of the bolts and the strap. Then hard finger tightened it all to provide friction but allow movement. Attached the latch, then lined it all up and tightened a couple bolts to hold it lined up. Oh yeah, the latch--there are no pictures or clear instructions on how to orient the latch and its mounting plate. Google search "JK-6140 latch" and you will find some photos. Basically the mount plate goes with the L pointing forward, and the latch goes on the rear-facing side with the thin plate facing forward.Rattles--adjust it, then adjust it again, then see how it is. To properly adjust the latch you will really just have to eyeball getting it lined up vertically, and in the approximate center of the metal loop it locks on to. Lock it down while leaving the hinge bolts snug but allowing movement, then adjust the height. You want it to end up with just a tiny bit of downward tension on the latch when it is fully closed. I did this (about ten minutes each) and have zero rattle.
