Radar Mount Mirror Mount + Mirror Wire for Escort Radar Detectors - Max Max2 Max 360 (3001102)

Great mount, fits my 2015 Subaru BRZ perfectly with the Passport MAX2.The mount is quality metal, which is great, but could scratch up the mirror's back end. I would advise using something between the metal teeth when test fitting. Very easy installation, wiring plugged into a connector in the over head light. I have a powered mirror, so I could hook it up directly to the connectors to shut it off when the car is turned off.Has been in place for a few weeks now and don't have any complaints. No rattles so far :)These look like they may be modular, and if I get a new detector, I would only need to replace the small clip to hook it up.

Had a initial issue because the tip it came with was specific for the Max and I have a Mac 360. It does work with it. But you need to request the right tip. I did. They shipped to me fast and free. And the detector is in the car under the mirror as it should be.Love the mount. Had to use players to tight the butterfly screw that came with it because of the 360 weight. But it worked beautifully.Update April 3 2019.The butterfly screw died. I asked them for replacement and received it next day. Free of charge. They also sent the side plates just in case.I replaced the plates and the screw and now it is working perfectly.Will support a company like this always.Great product with great support.Thanks.

Good for the money but it feels cheap quality and it makes my radar detector shake a lot but it is usable

As others have said, it's a VERY sturdy mount, but the clip to attach to the radar detector is either very poorly designed or has a manufacturing problem because as it arrives, is completely impossible to attach to the radar detector. It's made of spring steel (remember, it's high quality), but was compressed FAR too tightly. I had to finally put the piece in a vise, then use a combination of a screwdriver and pliers to pry it apart enough that I wouldn't break my detector (or a finger) trying to attach it.The electrical wire is a nice idea, but (opposite of the mount) is very, very fragile. I wouldn't waste my money on it again. Attempting to get one of the pins to actually insert and *stay* in the connector on the mirror, I broke one of the pins. I ended up engineering a creative way to tap into the mirror power on my own, so the cord wasn't a complete waste, but nearly so.I attempted to place this same review on the company's web site, but (not) surprisingly, they've chosen not to "approve" it. :-P

THe mount actually doesn't fit in the back of the mirror., since its too small. But I finally figured out the wiring part. Positive goes behind a green/white wire and Negative goes into a brown wire. Used a multimeter to verify, there is no power if the engine is switched off.

I do not write a lot of reviews, but I have to share this. I have several of these mounts in my other cars & truck for my Passport 9500ix radar detectors, and they work great. This negative review is specifially for the Escort MAX 360 version.the mount allows the redar detector to bounce up and down a little over road imperfections. This is not the most annoying part though. The worst is the fact that it blocks the GPS antenna such that it never refrlects my speed accurately, not does it properly mark locations since you keep getting these "gps signal lot", or "gps signal found" alerts. this defeats the whole purpose of having a radar detector with GPS built in. The problem is the actual mount metal plate that sits right over the antenna location for the radar detector.I did not want to spend the ludicrous amount of money that Blendmount wants for their version, but I guess I have no choice for this radar detector.As I said, the version of these I am using for my passport 9500ix's work perfectly.

This is a great little gem. No suction cups needed that wear out in the summer heat!The wire tap instructions weren't very clear. Some wires on the back of Mirrors have yellow as hot and black as ground. I will tell you this... Blue is Hot and Black/White is Negative on my 2016 F-150 Lariat.So far i've had it for a day and have hit bumps alond my daily route and it stays secure.Hope this helps...

Just finished installing in my war rig. Couldn't be happier with this mirror mount. Fit and finish are first class. I believe I got the new version of the clip for Escort Max. It fits GREAT! With none of the fitment issues of previous version. Will definitely buy again for my other vehicle.UPDATE: OCTOBER 2017Bought a second mount for the wife's topless Z due to original Escort sticky mount failure. So far its been great. No issues with either. Thanks again...
