Ideal-Tridon800019999058 Flexible Hose Clamp Driver with Reversible Socket 1/4-5/16

What an excellent tool! I own 2 BMWs, a 325i and X3. I purchased this tool because Otto from BMW on the internet used it to remove the clamp from the rubber intake boot as he was changing the crankcase ventilation valve. I'm no where near the mechanic he is, in fact I'm just a home mechanic and buy tools as I need them for a given job and hate to pay anybody else when I can do it myself, kind of guy. This tool appeared very useful to Otto and I would have bought it from his company but they're too darn expensive. So I searched the internet for exactly the same tool he was using and found it on Amazon and it was about 1/2 the price! It came very quickly and I have used it several times on both of these cars and find it very helpful, well-made and worth every penny!

This past summer I had to pull the 454ci engine on my Wellcraft, my buddy had this tool to loosen hose clamps. I loved using it soo much I purchased one that day. It comes in handy for just about any hose clamp. It has it's torque limitations and be sure not to lose the socket it comes with. Great tool none the less.

It works better than a screw driver because it holds on to the nut & doesn't slip like a screw driver!

Bought this to get to all the clamps on my SeaDoo (there are a bunch). Overall, well made and easy to grip. I'd probably prefer something shorter or more flexible - but this worked well for a quick going over. I expect it would be perfect for my mercruser stern drive (more space). The nut driver bit fits great on both sizes. The magnetic end holds the bit solidly, but I really hope I don't drop the bit in the bilge. I had it stick on a clamp and disconnect from the driver, and as a non standard part I would probably have to write off the tool if it got lost. That said at around $10 it's well worth having on hand.

I bought this for a specific project and it was perfect. I had a similar tool but it was more rigid where the socket went on and would not flex like I needed. I was able to bend this abound enough to get to the clamp screw to remove it and put it back on after my repair.

you don't know you need this till you get one and finally those hose clamps dont send you nuts anymore with using the wrong size nut driver, at just the wrong angle to engage the stiff shaft of coventional drivers. plus both sizes on one tool excellent excellent.. no more rapped knuckles either.

I'm refitting a 20 year old boat. Tools like these are such a time saver. I am using this to take off most of the Tridon hose clamps and then refit them. The flex arm is extremely helpful on a boat and it is of such a long length that it allows me to get to places i could not access before. I was using a flat head screw driver prior to this and wasting a lot of time. Do yourself a favor and let the tools help you!

Not as flexible as I would have thought based upon the description. However a good tool, handy double headed socket for different size clamps.
